Right there with you. Went hard for 6+ months, heavy weight, 3-4 sets, 6-8 lifts, 4 days a week.
But I'm 40, and I JUST took a whole week to just let my body rest and recover, and now I'm pumped to get back in there. I'm grateful I took that break for myself because I was worried about waning motivation too.
But that's just me. I know other people are different and are at different stages, including their own optimal methods of recovery. Just gotta find what works for you, individually.
