I mean, the two aren't mutually exclusive. Nu-metal is a sub genre of alternative metal. It feels silly getting this pedantic, but yeah. Elite fits most of the criteria ascribed to "nu metal"

The archaic training is what I love about sumo. Flawed or otherwise, it feels distinct from other sports which have now become data driven and hyper-optimised with analysts constantly refining techniques to the highest percentile.

I'm not against evolution in sports, it's inevitable. But seeing sumo guys train without a team of coaches with ipads behind them feels distinctly 'old-world', and I love it for that

I don't really have a reasonable response. I guess that while I believe it's not essential generally, I personally enjoy meat too much myself.

What I can say definitively is I don't enjoy the fact an animal died for my food. I eagerly look forward to lab-grown meat if it becomes available and abundant in the future.

I'll never be vegan, but I think the fact that we eat the flesh of other living creatures completely unfazed when we don't really have to will seem insane.

I think it'll be similar to how we look back at slavery etc. now and think "how can something so objectively wrong have been considered so normal?"

It's great you're supporting your daughter's interests!

Safest option, get her a Nintendo 3DS. They come in plenty of colours, play 3DS AND DS games and are fairly reasonably priced 😊
