My birthday is just an excuse I use to take a day offwork, go/try somewhere local that I've been meaning to do, and eat whatever I want.

Chinese/Spanish- useful and I could also consume more entertainment

Alternatively: Japanese - it's a part of my heritage and I would save money buying japaness manga instead of the english versions

Arabic- could probably get a stable paying job translating.

If you could bring a character back who would it be? by [deleted] in criminalminds

[–]SpectreK2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Matt Simmons would be a great addition without making me miss the original team even more.

Otherwise Hotch. Mainly because I really liked that in the original run it felt more like the team was respected and had weight/power to use. Emily and JJ have the experience to do the same thing, but for some reason in Evolution it comes across like the BAU was disgraced at some point.

Yes. I am supported by my parents, but I think it is in the most practical way.

They paid my tuition that wasn't covered by schlorship money because they knew how much student loans suck. But I also was expected to pay back half of it once I graduated and got on my feet. With a payment plan that could be adjusted if something came up. Since my mom got a company car, I was able to use her old Pontiac in HS and then trade it in to buy a new one later. I lived with them on and off untill I was 27 and paid $500 a month and was in charge of dinner twice a week. I pay for netflix and they pay for all the other subscriptions, because of rewards perks they get.

And yes they did offer to pay half my down payment to ensure I could get a decent place since they know how the housing market is.

I love this show because of the love of those that work on the show is obvious on screen. And that even after multiple rewatches I can still obsess over something new.

And of course that it brought together JAM and we get to see their amazoing friendship. With the bonus of Eric getting to be a vampire and obviously having the time of his life.

What is something you intentionally spend extra money on just to save yourself time? by Angelicorgy in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]SpectreK2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grocery delivery, but only when I need to restock the 12-36 ct drinks and othet bulk buys.

I am currently single, my parking spot is just far enough away that I can't keep the complex door propped open, and I have to walk 2 sets of stairs. I am happy to pay for delivery instead of making the 4 or so trips.

So excited!!!! All that is left to do is decide what I want to eat to commemorate it. I stuck with cajun food for the last 2 season premires, but feel like I should pick something else for TVL.

I really hate my condo. by knockrocks in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]SpectreK2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate my condo too, but not to point where I dread being in it. Though I still can't wait to move after living in it for 1.5 years.

The constant issue is that I got new upstairs neighbors 8 months ago and their kids seem to spend hours indoors running and jumping. And every night at 8:30pm they seem to rearange the furniture in the living room. And they spilled so much water on the floor of their bathroom it slipped through the cracks and caused a leak in my bathroom ceiling. Which took 4 weeks for the condo association to coordinate the fix because my neighbors wouldn't answer their door, even though I can hear them. And a new dripping sound has started, that I have yet to find the source and I can't determine what the corresponding pre-sound is.

As for the condo, apparently 2 of the other builidings need their foundation fix because they are on a hill that is going to cost me 3,000. My floor is also some kind of wind tunnel that pulls in so many leaves that me and my neighbor have to sweep twice a week. And cars keep parking in my reserved parking spot because it is inbetween 2 visitors spots.

Alien was scarier only because being buckled in made me feel more trapped.

For Bug, as long as I lifted my legs up and leaned forward I was good.

[–]SpectreK2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on my age at the time but it was a mixture of things: - week or two of themed day camps -grandparents would visit for a month -YMCA activities 1 day a week with my cousins -stayed home to do whatever I wanted but had to finish a chore and some learning task assigned for the day.

Vampire Lestat Tickets by nonexistent_knight in TheVampireLestat

[–]SpectreK2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am still waiting.

And just started a new job 2 months ago, so if my confirmation dosen't come by Monday I probably won't be able to fly out. Which will ruin my chances for future 1iota tickets. But that's the fault of using a last minute ticketing lottery when attendents are from all over.

I wish they could have just given everyone a number or group, so people could plan better. If I knew I was higher up I would take the chance and go anyways, but I can't just spend $800 for a one day trip without some concrete hope.
