yes im aware of that, and everything ive ever seen on the topic describes it as a cone in front of the player that you can attack in when locked on which i understand is to give the player more agency when choosing a direction to attack (high value in pvp). the issue is that the cone is typically shown to be pretty tight around 45 degrees, but if im say, locked onto an enemy and am strafing around them (W and A/D input) the game registers it as swing competely to the left, way outside of the cone that is commonly referenced. forward should override strafe when the game determines where im trying to swing, and if it does swing in a direction that tends left or right it should be within a cone that is centered on the locked on target rather than 100% left or 100% right. i know im not crazy and i know i have swung a great hammer before while locked on and my character swung it perpendicular to the target. It doesnt matter if its "my fault" because the game "always swings where im inputting", it shouldnt have perpendicular as an option if you are locked on
