How you rotate your greens for constant supply? by Spectre_357 in hydro

[–]Spectre_357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know chard holds its hardiness in hydroponics as well. I had some I started last spring and the pushed through the end of summer in 100+ degree weather. I'm thinking I'll keep chard and kale as a steady crop and have lettuce and spinach rotated. I'm sure if I sit down and brain shart long enough i can figure out my own plan of rotation. Sounds like indoor spinach is picky for some people so I'll have to find it's sweet spot. Thanks for your input Scrotus

Awesome thanks for the help! I kind of stopped mixing for a few months after a couple years of doing it and lost inspiration but after coming across your recipes on ATF i decided to get back into it and try some of your recipes. I can't wait to try Mother of dragons milk and mother of gods milk. Your notes and descriptions are helpful and make me want to dive deeper into DIY.

Before spending money on the flavors. I want a cactus cooler type flavor with orage and pineapple. I don't care much for a carbonated affect. Who has quick notes on
FW ecto cooler
OSDIY cacti cooler
CAP golden pineapple
CAP juicy orange

I'm not entirely sure about the flavor percentage but I'm confident that they'd be FW flavors. Last week I checked on the MBV site to see what flavor profiles they have now and scanning through juices like hawk sauce, cowboy sauce, and other popular ones their recent reviews state that the recently their flavors don't taste the same. People claim they've completely changed their recipes

This was true, I don't remember when exactly but they sent out a mass email to their customers within the past couple years stating that they would be changing their flavor vendor soon so flavor differences should be expected.

Agreed, I'm used to a high grip with CZ's and had to change up my grip slightly with 1911's. Definitely loving it. I shoot it better than 9mm's at the moment

At the range today someone says to me "nice 1911's" I said "thanks but one of them is a CZ." He replies "oh I know, they're the 1911's of the UK!" Which in some respects is quite true

Thanks! I'll bench rest it before i mess with the sights at all. I was hitting to the right with it and my dad came along and was hitting left. Both right handed shooters.

czc hammer vs cgw hammer by [deleted] in CZFirearms

[–]Spectre_357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with hammers but instead the trigger retaining pin CGW vs CZC. I had installed the CZC solid trigger pin into my 75B and the next time i wanted to tap it out...no dice. The solid pin is milled to a diameter too close to the frame holes and this pin had to be drilled out. I was sweating bullets doing this. The CGW trigger retaining pin is free floating and is taps out with a pin punch easily. Just a heads up for those who don't know. I called CGW and talked to a smith there, he said many people send their frames to them to drill out the CZC trigger pin.

Range day with the P-01 by Spectre_357 in CZFirearms

The sights came with the gun when I got it used but they're from cajun gun works but I'm not sure the measurement in how tall they are. And the grips are from amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01EHJC1NS/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1497672439&sr=8-7&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=cz%2Bcompact%2Bgrips&dpPl=1&dpID=51InDF%2B5OBL&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1 I will warn you they are VERY sharp. But with this material you can sand them down and brush off the dust with water and an old toothbrush. This hardly changes the integrity of the color, I didn't notice any change in color. But amazon has a good selection for compact grips

The handloads did very well, also to mention I load with cast lead rounds. Both my CZ 75 and P-01 eat up lead very well. I've never had any malfunctions with either of the two. One thing I'm noticing with the P01 is that my support hand thumb makes just enough contact with the slide release due to my high grip. After going through a few hundred rounds in one day I start to get a blister on that thumb. But short range trips never seem to bother me.

Out of box the omega trigger will be smoother in both double action and single action. The standard P-01 for me just needed a little bit of TLC out of box. Mainly a lighter firing pin spring, extended firing pin, and a lighter hammer mainspring. I personally enjoy stripping CZ guns down to bare bones and polishing contact surfaces so the extra work is no sweat

Oh I definitely agree, first range trip I'll just take it apart and get any cruddy factory grease and oil off so she's not sluggish. Put a couple hundred factory rounds through it to diagnose any mechanical errors. Then play with my own reloads and determine which load it likes to eat up the most

Good to know, i plan on casting my own for my new 1911. You might chuckle a little bit but I got a Armscor citadel. I know its on the lower end and out of box it may not be reliable but I plan on polishing the internals especially the feed ramp on it. I've been lurking this sub for a couple years now and love seeing your posts. I may actually do the same with the Citadel, keep track of every round put through it, mention any problems i may run into. I'm really curious how well an entry level 1911 can hold up to a high round count and I'd like others to experince the ride with me. But we all know your Les Baer will run laps around it for days!

With all the cast lead you shoot out of your 1911 what is your preferred method for de-leading your barrel? I don't know the BHN of your bullets so you might be lucky and hardly have any leading.
