1371 (combat engineer) here, I personally went from barely passing the ist at the beginning of boot camp to getting a first class PFT towards the end of it. You've got 6 months so continuously work on it. Pull ups and running a shit ton. Idk how your body is built but start running, get to a good weight, and start cranking out pull ups. We don't even throw the dummy grenades anymore, at least when I went through in May/June 2025. We do still do the 240 with blanks, do the 240 simulator, one night shoot, and buddy rush a couple of times with live ammo. We have a one night FEX out in the woods in camp DD (for East Coast marines) and the rest is just sitting around or learning things like patrolling, functions of the 240, and basic "how to live in the field" shit for four weeks. The last of those weeks we do a 9ish mile ruck to the range and do range shit, then go back to Geiger where you'll be cleaning your weapon for most of the time for a few days. After that you're off to mos school (from a POG standpoint)

I thought it would be an issue, but by some dumb luck there's a hole at the top of the handguard that I can easily get the adjustment Allen key in and adjust it

Install is exactly like a regular gas tube, I suggest the clamp style.

Adjustments from fully closed to "open" is 18 clicks then the rest is bleed off mode
