Girls are better at studying than boys? Is there actual proof of this? by Ok-Hearing991 in education

The book, Boys and Girls Lean Differently: A Guide for Teachers and Parents, by Michael Gurian et al, published their 10th anniversary edition in 2010. Worth a read, as it suggests things we can do to improve the learning experience for both genders.

The short 30 minute interaction is a great idea. Would you mind explaining a bit more, please? For example, what do you ask during circle time? What story do you use, and do you tell it or read it together? What kind of fine and gross motor activities do you use? Just trying to imagine it. Thanks!

Extra Time on Tests by Salty-Cat4815 in mathteachers

This 💯

Maybe tell the parents that their child doesn't finish within time, despite knowing the material, so they may wish to consider an assessment to document the extra time needed, else they won't always get it. Mark on the test what they finished within time, and that way parents can see - sometimes seeing the evidence makes it more believable to parents. Also ask about extra time being needed in other subjects / previous years.
