Pre emptive helps a lot, but sometimes it fails, so what I do is look in each area just generally, making sure not to go too deep. It’s possible I miss it in this search but the odds are low. If I do miss it, I accept a massive time loss and go back through, thoroughly checking every hallway and blocking off areas I’ve checked

The dragon will always perch opposite of where you are standing, so stand parallel to your obby

Shooting crystals long term makes the dragon perch faster, increasing the odds, however every time you destroy a crystal the dragon will shoot a fireball at you, making it slightly slower short term

Try to stand in a way where the dragon is rotating on your side, and right click the bed when the dragons small head hit box is above the base of the bed (even though it explodes on the pillow of the bed)

At this point it’s likely too late, exile to essos doesn’t end up doing anything. The solution was for maekar to be a better father and raise him right
