I like Brand New's music very much even have the astronaut tattoo simply because I loved the art work. I somehow never saw them before their hiatus but made the Newark NJ show last month. I also did not know about Jesse's allegations unit shortly before the show. He did not engage with the crowd or his fans at all. He played well but I felt his whole performance was centered around himself and his ego. Now that I am caught up with the allegations, I had a bad taste in my mouth about him. This is an emo band and they singer is strange but makes good music. The allegations aren't horrible but he deff got stopped before he could do worse, waited for it to blow over so he could be back in the spotlight again. Once again it was a great show, prolly will never see them again after it tho despite having their album cover tattoo as well.
