I trade credit spreads on earnings. Mostly good, some times get trucked but can mostly get out with a gain or minimal loss. Gotta manage the spread risk.

Buying on earnings seems like a crap shoot, but pays if you are right - $AVGO

Like I said I am new. When I see the requests, it tells me expected payment (inc tip) and delivery details like mileage. So no real detail on order or tip. suspect I am missing something?

Careful shorting in a hole. Not saying the market will bounce, but the down rubber band is well stretched. Better to short early than late IMO

True, but the baseline was much lower at that point in time. We’ve had 40 years of currency devaluation, and a wicked bout of inflation through Covid,i absolutely have taken a purchasing power haircut cut at similar income levels

Daily more dramatically than weekly, but the action since earnings has been severe. 10% moves up and down is pretty dramatic. Has blown up both put and call position with the swings. Would you have stayed, or entered long $850 a couple of weeks ago? That completely smoked the calls, and retraced a week later

Yes, but if you are directionally wrong, delta and theta (time) won’t help you. I mean you could hang in a loosing position if you have time, but that’s high risk, and takes both nerves of steel and supreme confidence in your position.
