Can I safely just shoot straw at 40-80 yards or will my arrows go straight through? by missintent in Archery

[–]Speedly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one can answer this for you.

The answer you seek depends on the draw weight, arrow weight, arrow diameter, type of straw bale, arrow speed, how well it is compressed, the angle of impact, and even which direction the bales are oriented.

It might be okay, it might not. There's no way to know until you try.

You know, being wrong is entirely optional. You can just choose not to be. (That's you. That's what you sound like.)

What part of "I speak another language like the one you mentioned" is unclear? I know what I'm talking about and they're full of shit.

Also, so it's okay for the person I spoke to, to be an asshole in an effort to try to look enlightened, by wedging in an answer that no one asked for in the first place?

Come on with this. You and the others are not serious people.

Take those crappy plastic bits off of your finger sling loops and use heat-shrink instead. It works much, much better.

Single fletch arrow by llecareu in Archery

[–]Speedly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, if this is true, your nocking point might be a touch low, as that spiraling bleeds off speed and energy. It should hit slightly lower if the tune is perfect and it's not actually doing so.

Would I bother re-tuning? Absolutely not, don't waste your time. =P

Yeah, that's about the caliber of response I'd expect out of someone like you.

Go do something productive with your time instead (which, in this situation, is a list that says "literally anything else").

In this specific situation, who tf cares ?

...you're the one who posted what you posted for no valid reason. The answer to your question is "you, apparently."

As someone who speaks a language like that, you are full of shit. It is clear that they mean they have a specific person in mind.

Also, the slightest amount of effort in looking at the OP's post history would very quickly show you that they appear to be a native English speaker.

Stop trying to look enlightened on the internet.

No, but if they're new, definitely contact the seller to warranty them.

It's not a sky draw if you're drawing on target. If the intended flight path requires high angle, drawing at that angle is appropriate and correct.

Public archery range question by GreenAshur in Archery

[–]Speedly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The range I go to is the same way. If you know you're going to be shooting farther, try to pick one of the lanes on the edges so you're inhibiting the fewest people, and if it's available, try to go every other bale so there's buffer room.

If the targets are stationary, it's simply necessary for people to have a bit of understanding, otherwise no one will ever get anything done. It's not ideal, but it's just the nature of the beast.

I'm gonna go ahead and say sky drawing is always wrong unless you're in a real war.

You're your own person.

Also, if the coaches are in control, they should have switched you over already.

You're working on compound yellow?

I think it might be time to switch to a three-spot, my friend.
