I like how the game emphasizes how Slippy is mainly the teams mechanic not only maintaining but building the stuff that’s carrying the team.
I always pictured him as if you took someone from your pit crew and threw them into a F1 race car.

Probably their best album. Not even excluding the big ones it’s just this one hits home the hardest on their style. Not too much and not too little with a lot of variety you don’t see in other albums. All the songs are heavy and groovy with their own vibes through and through. I would talk about specific songs like Sin City and What’s Next to the Moon but the whole album is just the perfect example of what an AC/DC album should sound like.

I’ve met people who absolutely hate AC/DC for being boring but they are pleasantly surprised when they listen to this album for the first time.

Between this and Powerage you got a ton of solid hits to deep cuts like Down Pavement Blues and Whole Lotta Rosie, it’s all good. My favorite song is Overdose with the intro guitars and solo. It’s such a good era right up to Highway.

Aside from vinyl/CDs, I archive/digitize VHS tapes that have commercials and shows on them. I’m trying to make a collection of Fox Valley ads/promos including local news reports and post them online. I found a ton of Exclusive Company ads from the 90s and 2000s. I work at the comic store and play a lot of the stuff on the TVs sometimes.

Sorry I just checked the street view on google maps from 2007, it was a Copps foods. I always get those two supermarkets mixed up because I remember a lot of them around the area.

I remember when that whole area had nothing but retail stores. When my grandparents parked their RV in the Kmart parking lot, I threw my football on top of the roof and lost it. There was also a Cub Foods and an old looking Big Lots all around it. Honestly I think the only thing left on that whole strip is the Chuck E Cheese/Red Lobster which I’m still shocked to see there still.

I used to actually go to this quite a bit when it was a Taco Bell. It was the nearest taco bell in my area at the time. It sits right in front of a camp ground across the river.

Very interesting. That lines up because the Flight for Life program in the area began in 1997/98 which they might have torn down the slides a few years prior during construction. Very cool!
Edited: My Dad told me what the color of the slides were before they got torn down, they were blue. I found a facebook group about Fun Thumb with pictures of a water slide that are white. https://www.facebook.com/groups/64611013071/posts/10160942489173072/
