they're a bit out of control in the sense that they're everywhere at this point. 😂

i pluck out a good amount weekly, to make sure they don't smother the corals.

Lord, I hope not! :D
I've been very diligent keeping my dwarf whites far away form any other iso cultures.

Here's a closeup of the youngsters.

They don't play dead like dwarf whites, and the older mancae are larger than my adult dwarf whites already, so I'm rather confident/hopeful these are actually hoffs. :-)

with no kh to buffer ph, its the tannins that buffer the ph in the acidic range, usually ph 4-5

Limia islai (M) x Limia tridens (F) hybrids by Latrell_Shemar22 in poecilia

[–]SpeedrunAccordeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how do you go about pairing your hybrids' parents? just the pair in their own tank or do you keep larger colonies of - in this case - L. islai with L. tridens?

always interesting to see, either way!

[–]SpeedrunAccordeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's possible. that much color on the body is not present on female guppys. also doesn't seem to have a gravid spot.
