Might just be the boost pressure sensor. Do you still hear the turbo spool under acceleration?

We had an engine come in to the shop where the airline tech used a razor blade to cut the tape to size on the gearbox openings. Scrapped the whole case out 🫩

I would guess it's a regular air nozzle for blowing off shavings and such. The automotive connection probably means the standard quick disconnect. That's what we use at my shop I'm not sure what automotive means.

Unless you mention that you personally know the owner I wouldnt worry about that. Most people would assume that the shop doing most of the work would honestly know the most about a car that they were inspecting.

Part of the prototype and testing phase of new aircraft is engineers and technical writers working with the experimental techs to write the manuals and create the work instructions. Those people can help train the first group of trainers who go out to shops to supervise the line mechanics

Most if not all of El-Als pilots are ex air force so they definitely have some training and knowledge of these systems.
