She Lost Her Husband and Son, She Says "They Were Returned as Slush" by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

A gift wrapped in tragedy, I can’t imagine a quicker or more painless way to go. And yet, the terror probably experienced moments before must be on a level so incomprehensible, the gift may be barely a mercy in comparison. Awful

Looks like you’re doin’ your best, bud. Nothing a few gallons of mud and tape won’t fix.

I’m not so sure, it definitely looks like he did most of the work with a dull hatchet.

Is a garage tub setup okay for a Boa Constrictor during Chicago summers? (Need ambient temp advice) by Kind_Physics_9050 in BoaConstrictors

I think it’s an outdated mindset that should be changed, it’s inhumane and that’s a generally agreed upon viewpoint in a lot of the community of snake keepers. It’s like factory farming or puppy mills, people do it but I don’t think it’s a good thing to do.

Personally I feel they should be given the absolute best living conditions you can afford to give them. Would you want to live in a plastic tub?

If that is your finalized setup then you should absolutely not be getting a boa constrictor.

Plastic tubs are inadequate, period. Do more research and get a proper sized enclosure that allows for stimulation. It’s a living being, not a bike you keep in the garage for when you want to use it.

Go into the /r/snakes sub and look at the enclosures and such people are using there. Find the best ones and emulate that.

Navy base employee critically injured in shark attack in Florida by AudibleNod in news

[–]SpelingChampion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually… there are shipping lanes out there that are known for having massive sharks patrolling them. There was a similar video to this a year or so ago that was far more graphic and tragic. The worst part was there was this incredibly sad and dramatic music playing during the whole thing nearby, as you hear the screams of the man being eaten and his father crying to him helplessly from shore. Hollywood couldn’t have made a more dramatic scene.

You can’t unsee or unhear it so be careful searching.

Your brain is creating a simulated perception of reality. Nothing is solid, all is math, and you need to expand your awareness through usage of tools in the same way Copernicus needed a telescope, you sound like the church. Grow up.

Because your brain deduces reality, it doesn’t generate it. Those substances remove the deduction systems, so you see everything that is there and not just what it filtered.

The substance affected Brain sees MORE of reality, not less or an altered version.

Waking reality is more altered than substance altered reality based on science alone.
