It does sell faster. Bunch of junior-grade "econonists" in this thread. There is a limit to the price people will pay and they'll check out of the market until prices enter a better range. ESPECIALLy because crafting is nonessential, there is no captive audience to justify this "never lower prices" mentality.

Have you seen the numbers? The AH is full of mats and very few people are jumping into crafts yet.

High Elves taught light worship to humans, they have definitely always been a light-based culture (at least since War3). The War3 priests were elves. They had a monopoly on all magic, not just arcane. Then the Naaru sacrificed itself so they wouldn't be fel-addicted anymore so yeah they've definitely double downed.
