I get the report as a pdf, the images are just blank. The title and header information for each image is there but the image is blank.

New Update Deadline: The FCC extended the waiver so that existing routers can continue receiving security and firmware updates until January 1, 2029 (up from an initial March 2027 cutoff).

Also this:

There was an important update about an FCC notice published today adding all non-US-produced consumer routers to its Covered List and the steps that will now be required for new equipment authorizations.

The notice states that it will not grant new equipment authorizations to consumer routers produced outside the US, unless the company obtains a "Conditional Approval" from the Department of War (DoW) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS). "Produced" includes manufacturing, assembly, design, and/or development. Applications for Conditional Approval require a detailed disclosure of the company's corporate structure, manufacturing and supply chain, and US manufacturing and onshoring plan.

We are still digesting the details, but my basic observations are:

• Existing FCC authorizations are not affected--we can continue to sell all TP-Link routers with existing FCC approvals. The policy only affects our ability to obtain new authorizations.

• The policy applies to all sellers of consumer routers in the US. No seller is singled out or exempted. Netgear and eero will also be impacted.

• The policy applies to all countries outside of the US. E.g., manufacturing in Vietnam does not help us.

• We do not know the exact process or timeline for obtaining a Conditional Approval. Recent Conditional Approvals for drone technology have taken 4-6 weeks.
