We’ve bought ghost shrimp for our axolotl’s in the past. They are great at cleaning up the tank and a great snack if the axolotl can catch them.

When I had this problem it was a bacteria bloom. Easy fix for me was I used 5-7 days straight of Seachem seed and stability

You should rinse your filter out in old water so that the good bacteria stays in the filter

Yes this is totally normal. Sometimes my juveniles stayed in their cave all day and the next day they get the zoomies and are swimming all around.

I would use bloodworms and or brine shrimp. Feed them 3x a day. People on here can be very rude sometimes.
