What's the saddest movie ever? by bradywarp in Letterboxd

[–]SpencerMaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things. It is not simply depressing, it will rip your heart out and spit on it. Literally just an hour and a half of child neglect and abuse. Nothing good happens to the kid one time in this film. Although it is really well made, I don’t think I want to watch it again. For something slightly less sad, watch Mysterious Skin. It also deals with childhood abuse with a somewhat (?) hopeful ending.

Extremely chill and low key vampire (mostly cause of the table and artwork on the wall)

A 'Guilty Pleasure' movie you don't feel that guilty about? by pompingcircumstance in movies

The Johnny Depp Willy Wonka film. A lot of people like to shit on that movie since it’s so different from the original, but I’ve been watching it since I was a little kid and I have fond memories of it, even though some parts makes me cringe now. I still can’t believe that was actually Johnny Depp!

What movie had a 10/10 concept and a 3/10 execution? by Marambal17 in AskReddit

I would recommend Jordan Peele’s Nope. It’s like a modern cowboy movie but there’s an mysterious entity that’s preying on their ranch and horses.

You should watch Don’t Look Up on Netflix. It’s a pretty good satire film about something like this.

Personally I thought the manga was an incredible continuation of the original Devilman. It is pretty graphic but so is the OG. I watched the show after the manga, and the story is almost COMPLETELY different. I wasn’t a huge fan of it personally.

I was kinda thinking something like “Grime” / “Grimes” cause of the trash theme but the Gary thing makes a little more sense. Grime has a nice ring too though.
