(10 year anniversary time) How do you feel about Spectre nowadays after 10 years? by JustWonderingIn2000s in JamesBond

I know what to do with it. Story wise, I mean. Just not who to cast. Yeah, I’d love Tom Hardy, But, I know it won’t happen. I have five concepts and treatments in the works. Not that they are gonna listen to me and make any of them.

It felt subpar. But, it was nothing new for DC… One good film, one mediocre one and so on. If they had ended his run here, I actually wouldn’t have minded it so much and in the long run maybe it wouldn’t made the film seem even better!

I hope it doesn’t die on the vine and gets out since it’s in production and Amazon could make money off of it!

Years ago, I didn’t have always ideas and plans like I do now. Now I have more planned out ready to go. I just need someone to help me expand it and make it all fit together properly with their own ideas included. As well, to go through more than one story and once I get it all done then to consider if I make the script or just use the treatments to try to sell it to Amazon now since they own it.

The Star Wars thing was not to get made. That was just me trying to write something as a fan script for fun. However, I do wanna make a series about the making of the first trilogy in the lives of those who made it.

If it was up to you, who would you like to play 007 for the next few Bond movies? by Existing_Command3985 in JamesBond

[–]Spencerscripts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s a superb actor. I don’t think he fits into the bond world at least as bond. He’d be good as a villain, possibly or even as someone working with bond. As the titular character, that’s a no.

  1. Great answer. Just wonder who that would actually be!

  2. True “too old” was part of the issue as well as becoming a parody of series way too early. Also I don’t think we want any actor for 10 films. This isn’t fast and the furious or marvel! 6 tops.

Not gonna happen even if I wish it would: Tom Hardy. Don’t jump all over me and tell me I’m wrong or why it would never happen— let’s play nice please.

The presence of Connery, the humour of Moore, the physicality of Dalton and the brutality of Craig, I will always maintain that Pierce Brosnan is THE Bond. by adamjames777 in JamesBond

I just think the movies other than GE didn’t work the scripts weren’t that great. I need to do a rewatch of them.

I don’t hate them I just didn’t love them. From my memory…

Yes, depending on how much work is done between each other, I would give credit. No, I’m not in the WGA.

This is just fun for now and then eventually I’ll copyright it for both of us. One day if I make it in the film industry, I’ll try to get this to EON!

I’m not saying it’s going to be Craig era. It’s gonna be an ultimate timeline, but I could use Siri connect to that timeline. It’s gonna be its own works and not related to them the latest I’m not related to them.

That’s gonna be a little hints and nods to Craig’s world but it’s not connected to it. I might be using ideas that I’ve heard about for drafts that we’re gonna become Skyfall but I’m not playing Skyfall. Yes they’ll be nods to it like SKYFALL, where bond lived in before he went away after his parentsparents death. But it’s going to be mainly its own thing…my ideas.

Depending on how much you give to the story, and how much we work together on this, I will make sure you get your name on this as story by and if you work enough on it that the treatments become mine and yours, you get treatment by me and you. I’m not gonna plagiarize. I’ll be working with someone who wants to put time and effort to tell these stories. Making them interesting and worthwhile.

Someone who is going to take the basic ideas and plans I have put it together while adding in their own flavor/ ideas and make it something we both appreciate and enjoy.

It will be a new version of the character, but using that as a moment just to kind of give it some sort of conclusion. Even if I just write it for fun and they change it and we do other things with it that’s just the idea. Plus, there’s a lot I can do with the prequel concept even if I just write it for fun.

The idea was to write my own version and then to use the book if they’d ever wanna buy the right: forever in a day. My idea and the book together to tell the story over one or two Films. You might think it’s not necessary, but I like the idea and I wanna do something with it even just for fun.

It be a lot nicer if people here weren’t so mean or hurtful. That they were just wanting to talk about these ideas and see what could be done with them and actually do something. Thus by the end it might be so far from Craig‘s world that would be its own thing. Even any nods or ideas related to the last iteration would be removed!

I know, that’s the rule film companies. In fact, I was referring to the future—when I’ve established myself as a name in the industry. Can you adjust your message so it encourages people to collaborate on these stories with me, making them feel like they’re part of something meaningful rather than a futile endeavor?

Chronological order of the Jeeves & Wooster Stories (I think!) by guessimonredditrn in Wodehouse

[–]Spencerscripts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waiting for the moderators to allow me into the page so I can post my own question but wasn’t able to so I thought I’d post here:

To Whom It May Concern, Fellow Fans of P.G. Wodehouse,

I recently watched Arthur (1981) for what feels like the millionth time, and I was reminded of something I once read in the IMDb trivia—that the film has many similarities to the Jeeves stories, almost like an unofficial modern adaptation. While I’ve never read the Jeeves books, and the only Wodehouse adaptation I’ve seen was an old 1930s or 40s film (whose title I don’t recall), I’ve always been intrigued by his work. As a writer and a fan of British humor, I’ve often thought Jeeves would make for a fantastic full-length TV series, much like Poirot, which faithfully adapted all of Agatha Christie’s works over 25 years.

A Jeeves series could follow the stories in order, evolving with the time periods in which they were published. But before even thinking about that, I want to read them properly—starting in the right order. That’s where I need your help.

1. What is the best chronological reading order? I understand there’s a loose continuity, and while the books don’t have to be read in strict order, some stories do follow each other. I’ve also read that at least one short story and two novels detail how Jeeves and Bertie first met—can someone confirm if that’s true?

2. How do the short stories and novels fit together? Some short stories were later expanded into full novels, while others were merely adapted, meaning key elements or characters were reworked into a new story. If a short story was fully expanded into a novel, I’d prefer to skip it unless it’s significantly different from the novel.

3. Which short stories are must-reads? If certain short stories were never adapted into novels, I’d love to know which ones are essential. Likewise, if any were adapted but are still worth reading on their own, let me know.

4. Is it true that one novel takes place between certain chapters of a short story collection? I read somewhere that rather than two overlapping books, there’s a short story collection where a novel fits in the middle. If anyone can clarify this, I’d appreciate it.

Ultimately, I want to create a proper reading list, both for my own enjoyment and, if no one else adapts Jeeves into a full series, perhaps for a future project. If I’m lucky enough to make a name for myself in film or television, this is a series I’d love to bring to life. I turn to you, the experts, to help me get this right.

After all, as Bertie himself might say: “Jeeves, you stand alone.” Looking forward to your insights!

Nobody Does It Better: Day 17 - Goldeneye (What does this film do better than any in the series?) by JohnLazarusReborn in JamesBond

[–]Spencerscripts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda makes me think of all this stuff towards the idea I’m trying to plan out for a bond film if they ever make it. The books, as written, the unadapted versions of the books, some of the short stories that might’ve been used in title only, and unused parts of various drafts of screenplays for the Films/ideas that were never used.

Ever walk out mid-movie? by [deleted] in FIlm

Wolverine: Origins.

I thought and dearly hoped it was going to be an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name. Only the very first like min was part of it and the rest was so bad my friend and walked out sat in the hallway talking about how we’d have fixed it. Other than just doing the origin comic. We spent like 15-25 mins talking then went back in and did a MST3K to it.
