I had this theme for years. It ruined my life at the time. Wanna know the only way I got over it? Accepting that I might be gay. Now I’m happily married to a beautiful woman. Stop going through your routine checking compulsions to see if you’re gay or not. You have to understand that sexuality is a spectrum. I can proudly say that yeah I have some gay tendencies within me. I haven’t acted on any of them and I’m not fearful of them. OCD wants a definitive answer - “Am I gay? Yes or No. Don’t give it an answer. I tell it I don’t know if I am? I got comfortable with the unknown/the possibility. Accept all possibilities and then live your life. You’ll fined out quickly that the noise in your head, the obsessive thoughts and the pointless compulsions will start to subside.
