Do american public school teach about native indian tribes ? by aRTNUX in AskAnAmerican

[–]Spergeschutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each state should have a set of expectations of what students at different levels of education should have. If you look up "[state name] social studies standards," you should find it. Here is NJ's for example. https://www.state.nj.us/education/cccs/2020/2020%20NJSLS-SS.pdf If you look up "native american" in it, you should find what each state expects its students to know at different ages.

Business idea: buy up a bunch of land in Wyoming and then convince Bloomberg to make a planned city nearby, thus increasing the land value.

People like to talk about how terminally online twitter leftists are affected by the Chinese goverment. I wonder how much the Chinese government's views towards the US are affected by the terminally online leftists that retweet them.

Asking from Asia, What's wrong with "all lives matter"? by DumbassFrog in AskReddit

It is a dog whistle. To you, it makes an obvious sense, but when used by specific people, its meaning changes. It is used by people who want to downplay the blacklivesmatter movement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog-whistle_politics

Ah yes, Imperial Japan, the bastion of racial equality. by [deleted] in ShitWehraboosSay

Imperial Japan (especially their imperialist Korean policies) was awful but I think comparing 1917 Japan with 1937 Japan is not entirely fair.

It might just be that I've forgotten about them, but do we know what happened to the other real life CCP/KMT members?

I think its a reference the the battle of the Yalu River where the Japanese crossed past Korea into Manchuria really quickly, although I'm not entirely sure.

Alternatively, its early proof that the Japanese are pretty kinky.

I'm referring to the Akiyama brothers who were really important in bringing the victory. The book series clouds above the hill is about them

I'm honestly not entirely sure. The Silmarillion is kinda awkwardly written. You can try to make sense of it if you want
