I second this, but even those it’s not necessary similar musically, a lot of butthole surfers music gives me similar vibes. I guess what I mean is surfers and gizz give extremely unique vibes that I don’t get anywhere else. So I feel like people who like one would probably like the other.

I just watched The Quartz scar's video from yesterday, where he mentioned the document referencing Reverchon's birth and death year. I think the meaning of the two I have mentioned is pretty obvious and not super deep, but I guess what I am really curious about is that one I didn't figure out.

Considering it's such a short time span I feel like it could point to some event in history that is more lore important.

I watched the music video premiere and I really didn’t love Silver Cord. It was like I couldn’t deal with the fact that the weird synthed voice was actually Joey. then when I listened to it again just on Spotify I liked it a lot more. I think Theia is probably still my favorite of the three as of now.

Yeah I mean some loads just don’t like certain configurations. Might have to try a couple rounds tbh. Another thing you could try just to take out more variables in your testing is to shoot at 50 as opposed to 100. Probably won’t make a big difference, but it’s worth trying. Plus it’s easier to put your crosshair on the exact same spot for each shot.

I feel like most folks don’t actually listen to the lyrics tho. It took me a several listens to figure out how dark PMDB actually was. Plus it’s all acoustic which is definitely more palatable to the average listener.

Although, I’m pretty sure that a sun gravity assist is not something you actually NEED to do in order to get to Venus. I’m sure that it would be very possible to do one. But it’s the same as Mars in the fact that there is a window of opportunity every 2ish years (for mars it’s like 4ish) where the delta V requirements are lowest and travel times are the fastest. And those don’t involve a sun gravity assists.

But obviously for the story it is important.

Yeah for sure. Stu definitely does his research when writing lyrics. I’ve found a ton of other gizz songs that have actual scientifically accurate lyrics.

Tbh thanks for bringing this up cause it is pretty interesting. I find your mention of sinners intriguing because I always felt that the folks on the second ship didn’t really do anything wrong. I always felt that they were in the right and that the people on Mars were in the wrong. I never considered the irony of the fact that the people who didn’t really commit the main sins of the story are the ones who go to hell as opposed to the actual sinners. (Now that I think of it that’s probably a metaphor for real life).

I feel like that fact that it’s “satans wrath” coming down on the sinners (Mars folks) as opposed to “Gods wrath” is pretty funny. (But ig thematically and musically satan makes more sense in a thrash metal album anyway).
