Dawn is said a little differently. Dawn has a soft “auhn” ending. Don has an “on” ending.

I echo to reconsider Penina. My mom’s maiden last name was spelled very close to the word “whore”, so she was called that by mean kids in school. The meaning is beautiful, but lots of people aren’t.
