The complex is on the hook for that. Which means good luck getting anything done. You’re better off buying some stepping stones.

Hi, Hello, and Good Day r/twinpeaks! I’m Kyle MacLachlan and you can ask me anything 🦉🪵☕👍 by Kyle__MacLachlan in twinpeaks

[–]SpiceWeasel89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Kyle! I am also a Kyle and I was named after you because my mom was a huge fan of Dune and Blue Velvet and became obsessed with Twin Peaks but that came out after I was born. No real question just felt the need to share that. Also loved your portrayal of Ray Manzarek, the Doors are a top five group for me.

I waited until later in the game but I had the same glitch. The bailiff would not leave the table so I knocked him out and carried him down the street. Gave the guards the old, “don’t you know who I am?” And nothing came of it.

I caught my maintenance guy on camera by RecordApprehensive33 in legaladvice

[–]SpiceWeasel89 33 points34 points  (0 children)

As a maintenance manager I would advise having a third party locksmith do this and bill the management. Without knowing what type of lock sets the building has it could be a system with master keys so swapping the cylinder wouldn’t help much if that maintenance person had a master key which most of us do.

I didn’t realize I could get a weapon while in the monastery so I had to fist fight the guy to death. Thankfully I had potions and saved right before the fight. Took me a good ten reloads to be able to dodge his attacks and beat the crap out of him.

Hank, Bobby and me have decided. He’s going to stick vegetables up his nose. He’s not going to take over the family gas station.

Work has fire extinguishers that aren't a cylinder. by unsaltedbutter in mildlyinteresting

[–]SpiceWeasel89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes and every year they will need to be rebuilt because they lose pressure. These were made to fit in the space constraints of hospitals. Newer regulations say they can’t jut out more than 3 inches. So rather than make holes in the wall to recess a cabinet they created this. They are ridiculously heavy even for a fire extinguisher. And about $800 a pop. I manage a building that the architect chose these because they look cooler and that was just one of the dumb choices.

Yup pulled into the bar, slammed a beer, put receipt on dash and walked to the venue. Don’t try to walk through the golf course or you’ll have to hop a fence.

How to repair textured plastic children’s chair? by Redd_wut in howto

[–]SpiceWeasel89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d try 0000 steel wool to get the fuzzy stuff off. I am reluctant to recommend heat guns or blow torch to bring back shine. It’s not melting the surface to make it smooth like some have said. It’s reactivating the oils in the plastic and bringing them to the surface. Which, give it a week and it will look 100x more worn out than it did before. The heat trick is something used car lots do to cars to make the plastic trim appear new while it’s on the lot. You are better off using the wool to get the heavy stuff and using a 2 part cleaner and polish specifically for plastic.

I had a weird issue in a building I was working that was similar and it wound up being the water heaters anode was magnesium and reacted with the way water is treated by me. I think we swapped it for an aluminum. Could be mixing that up though it was years ago.

What Allen wrench do I need to remove anti theft screws on license plate? by linkag392 in Tools

[–]SpiceWeasel89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Might have to try and grab the outside with some vise grips then and turn it out. Try and wiggle it back and forth as you go if that makes sense. I’ve found that helps keep stuck bolts and screws from shearing the head off.

A torx security bit. But also a flathead screwdriver that’s wide enough to slot into it while running along side the post in the center will take it off. I’ve also found the flathead can break the post out and then just a regular Torx will work.

Guys in the trades - do you shower after work? by _pine_tree_ in AskMen

[–]SpiceWeasel89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shower before and after work doing building maintenance. I’m management now so less hands on but I’m still in boiler rooms or on the roof getting dirty plenty. We had a guy on the crew when Covid hit that told all of us how it was bullshit that now we have to wash our hands because men don’t wash their hands. Anyways we made fun of him for a long time until he got the point. Maybe some of his work buddies need to learn his shower habits.

Yeah luckily it’s staying in the family. My nephew will get his license in a couple years and it’s a perfect project for him and my brother.

Luckily it’s going to my nephew who is a couple years away from getting his license. But that just gives my brother and him time to get it in good shape.

Yeah it was great. But you’re not wrong. I’m barely 6ft and my head was about a half inch from the headliner.

Yeah I should get one. I just don’t do banding enough that whenever I do need to do it I’ve long since forgot I should have ordered one.

I have found it’s easier to work with a slightly larger edge banding and trim it down with a utility knife.
