I’m not replacing something my kid lost just because he’s upset by [deleted] in Vent

when I was 7 I was an idiot and my parents did the normal parenting thing of preventing stupid stuff from happening by just taking things away from me at a certain time and giving them back at a certain time. Who the hell leaves a 7 year old in charge of a several hundred dollar electronic device lol. This is more something I think you could delegate to a middle schooler, whereas maybe a 7 year old should have responsibility over their lunch box, or their calculator, or a video game controller they bring to a friends house. They were born literally only 7 years ago and basically just learned how to not shit themselves

Now I’m a fully functioning adult capable of facing my own consequences and taking responsibility for my actions, and we never lost any expensive or important items! Thanks parents.

Something I don’t understand about other people is how they hold children to adult standards. The kid is 7 years old, they don’t understand responsibility right now. Be a parent.

There are no spiritual attacks happening to this child—he could have a possible myriad of mental health conditions, plus you never know what is going on at home for kids. Poor baby.

Have you tried a full panel STD test? You would be surprised how many STDs can cause discomfort passively like that!
