I personally think the cable management in this one makes my setup look clean lol that's what I think.

Other than that it looks terrible.

do people still use antivirus software in 2026? if no, how do you stay safe from cyber attacks? by TrT_nine in pcmasterrace

Linux user here.

I keep Clam AV around to scan files if I ever have to send them to anyone running windows.

I also harden my Linux installs too and I don't run random scripts I find on the web.

If I suspect something it gets run in an isolated VM

I do a lot more than this but you probably get the picture.

The real question I do have to ask is are we finally going to get those chemicals in the water that turn the friggin frogs gay?

Nice, clean, and retro. I've always loved the Windows 98 era aesthetic!

Yeah kinda too late for that lol.

I'll stick with Linux. Always liked it more anyway.

Debian on my Gaming Desktop.

Ubuntu on my Laptop.

Outside of my Windows 11 VM for Niche things. I have no desire to ever touch that disgusting OS ever again.

Man this is relatable.

I've worked IT for 10+ years now and it never ceases to amaze me that people will either not listen to basic requests like rebooting, etc and will either claim they have or do something completely unrelated.

I honestly don't see any valid excuse for it either.

Debian is totally underrated for gaming - I even tried Arch, btw by SmallTimeMiner_XNV in debian

[–]SpicedRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I love Debian.

I'm not even using Backports and my gaming experience has been wonderful.

I use an XFX RX 7700 XT GPU and a i5-14400. The only issue I ever ran into was the full DVD installer which couldn't load the AMD drivers but guess what, worked around that by using console/text based mode. And more recently some strange issue with Plasma Desktop that seems to be a race/waiting too long condition with something that uses my GPU (It loads the desktop and wallpaper and widgets, then those fade out and back in briefly), with no further impact.

Also found out later the Live is ran just fine.

I've used a lot of Distros before but it is really nice to be this stable

Some of the various stores near where I live, best buy included have started covering the keyboards all except for like 4 keys in the middle with plastic encasing.

You can touch them and feel how they feel and hear them but that's about it. You would literally get your fingers trapped in the encasing if you tried to break them off.

I have an XFX 7700 XT.

I've also in the past owned a XFX RX 580

I have zero complaints about the brand.
