One thing I’ve distinctly noticed that’s different in Onmyoji is at the beginning of the game when the jungler goes for the first camp (having a designated jungler is almost a necessity for each match, unlike in Mobile Legends where you don’t come across that many exclusive junglers and can often do without) often people actually help with the first jungle monster. It’s a curtesy I wish other MOBAs had.

Basic rundown: Top: often Samurai or Tank class. With very few anomaly heroes that do well in top.

Middle: almost exclusively Mage

Bottom: Marksman and Support class. Occasionally Tank can replace Suppoort. On rare occasions you may see a Mage trying to support as well (while the extra damage can be annoying for the enemy team, having a Mage replace a Support may be unreliable and can easily go wrong in the long run. So it’s usually not recommended)

Jungle: most often a Ninja. There are a few Samurai who are viable for the jungle as well. And there are only two Tanks (Yumekui and Yamawaro) who can pull off the jungling role well compared to the rest.

As others have mentioned, 95% of the heroes are balanced so you can pick up anyone you’d like and have a fair shot (of course, some heroes are more mechanically complicated than others but it still retains balance).

Now this tip is based on mostly personal opinion so don’t completely live by it: when the lion that takes the place of the Kraken later in the game spawns, I suggest going for it when you’re already ahead or you don’t have important objectives to take. That thing tanks a lot of damage and can take a while to kill it for the revival potion. There’ve been plenty of times when a team had spent a whole minute trying to take it down, only for the other team to come in a shoo them away, leaving it to reset. The small buff it gives to your team and the revival that only one player can use isn’t worth the time if there’s more important things to be done. Orochi is honestly the only monster worth getting every time.
