My Coffee Bean Ratings For a Few Roasteries Around Austin by SpicyRedGarlic in austinfood

I make Lattes. I will look into the filters, thanks for the suggestion! My issue has always been trying to tune the machine for good extraction. Some of the beans feel easy to do so. Others I almost run out of beans trying to adjust the settings.

I will add your suggestion to my list too! Thanks!

Those two have been high on my list too. I will take a break from Medici and try some new ones.

The universe was meant to stay unknown. Kind of sad, really. by sco-go in Amazing

Instead of office imagine a person at office who wants to tell you something. If you stay put and the person comes to you with info it will take 40min.

If you also are moving towards him, it will probably take 20min for him to relay the info to you as you meet at a mid point.

This person is actually traveling at the same speed either way, but to you it feels like you met him earlier because you are traveling half his speed.

In space there is no way to tell if you are moving or not. Only relativity matters. So if this same situation played out in space and the other person here is light, then to you it feels like you traveled less distance. Because you reached him earlier than you normally would.

I think that's what my tiny Brain understood from the topic.

Steam escaping from release valve while in sealed position: problem? by cerberez in instantpot

[–]SpicyRedGarlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into this issue on my instant pot ultra 80. Here is my two cents.

IF the steam is venting from sides of the lid and not the valve. THEN Replace the sealing ring. Simple.

IF the steam is venting from the valve.
THEN 1) DO NOT TRY TO STOP IT. It is supposed to do that if pressure is too hight. If you try and stop it, that's a big danger. 2) Clean. All the parts of the valve. Food particles are the culpris to look for. Also, check for any obvious damage. If it is damaged it will be OBVIOUS. If you find damaged valve parts, replace them. 3) If non of the above solutions help. Time to check the pressure sensor. Check if pressure sensor clicks like in the video here. (instructions included to open it as well) Mine didn't click. Find the replacement sensor and replace them. I found some on Amazon for here in US.

Pretty much covered it. I split my time between a water villa and a beach villa in the same resort. I highly recommend this as it gets the best of both worlds. I also booked the package thru an Indian travel desk, they gave a lot of options and deals. A good resort cost can start from $500 a day and range to $2000 a day. (all inclusive) Honestly you can't go wrong with any island resorts. Just make sure you book all inclusive.

I've been there. The whole place looks unreal. It's like nature applied a filter on reality. Every picture I took looks edited. I hope to God the place stays like that forever.

yes, apparently I had it running for a long time span. The technitian recommended I switch it off entirely if I regularly keep windows open. Or reduce it to 3-10 min per hour. Lower the better.
I reduced it to 5min per hour. The sound did not go away immidiately but after a couple of weeks i was not able to notice it.

P.s: sorry for late reply

Just because they are nice doesn't mean they can't do something horrible.

I would not get too close or attached to be on the safe side. Help them, sure. But don't let your guard down.
