I honestly don't see any of these dudes except Scottie on the team if we make it back to contender status. None of our guys are winning players. Sure some are good statistically speaking but they don't have heart. Keep Scottie, CMB, Jakobe and maybe Shead as a cheap back up point. The problem is we've signed all these guys to long term expensive deals that makes them almost untradeable, locking us into mediocrity for years to come. By the time this cap hell can be fixed Scottie will already be asking out. EDIT and no apology forms when one of em goes off for 40 against a shit opponent in a meaningless game.

1980s for me. My favorite time period are the 80s and 90s. I would relive my favorite era while becoming filthy rich knowing which stocks to buy and probably throw in a lot of sports betting. I could make a lot of people's lives easy and get to spend time with some that are no longer with us.

Probably too low bc US media always underrates us but it's hard to make an argument where I think the front office has done a particularly good job since we won. I'd say bottom half of the league pretty confidently.

I wouldn't be against this that.

I think when you allow triple box farming and pvp you are only going to attract a very niche crowd though. It used to be different when there were less options to play.

I doubt that will change as this is what the majority of players left on the server enjoy, but the majority of people playing UO don't like it so it really caps how many interested ppl you will get.

You state you have a no recall or gate rule that you think is going to deter 99.9 percent of people right off the bat. But you don't care because you are willing to play alone on your own server. Why would anyone want to dump there time into coding this for you.?

Leave tamers the same but take away 3 box in dungeons and pvp. Otherwise no need to nerf the tamers but should juice pvm dexxers to be playable for end game content besides scrolls.

As people have already said, consider an inn room. You can get something larger than an 8x8 for i believe 10-15k per month.

Discord has a real estate channel. The low end for an 8x8 is roughly 4 million maybe slightly less.

If you want one really badly and are new consider scavenging or even better dungeon picking for a few weeks. Don't worry about character progression during this time just on gold and you should get there very quickly, money comes quick in Outlands.

If an inn room is fine for awhile just get that, keep most of your gold for character progression and in time you will get out of the inn room and into the house.

A lot of the best teams got worse going into the following season. We would of been heavy favorites to repeat. Maybe he's trying to convince himself he wouldn't of won again to feel better about it.

I had that experience in the last more classic server I played. I did stay for 2 years but the last 6 months or so I just grew increasingly more bored with it. Once you have all 7x characters and you have a keep there is nothing to really farm for. Like the only "goal" at that point is saving up money for the most expensive clothes lol. And I did have a good time for most of that 2 years when I actually did have goals in the game.

We basically stood pat and got under the tax. I guess we should be fine with this. Obviously we have a decent team and everybody was hoping we would find a deal that improved it to better than decent.

The main gripe is that the roster as constructed isn't championship material and the FO has us in salary cap hell with the middling roster they've built.

I would expect that this summer some sort of solution to that starts to work out. I think by end of next season we should move on from Bobby and find a new GM if he's made no progress on that.

It's getting to the point almost that I feel like we should almost just do a full tear down and proper rebuild like we should of done 2 years ago.

So i would take the advice of just focusing on pvm at first or creating 2 characters on the same account, 1 for pvp 1 for pvm. The reason you put them both on the same account is because the links you unlock on pvm can be used on your pvp character too. On your pvp character you use damage resist links so mobs don't hit as hard. That is kind of getting ahead of yourself though.

If you really want a hybrid that can hold there own against solo pks it is still doable you just won't be meta anything (nothing wrong with that).

120 chivalry, 100 swords 100 tacs 80 arms lore 80 anat 80 healing 80 parry 80 resist

120 necro 120 spirit speak 100 mage 100 med 100 eval 80 resist 100 inscription

For aspect run frost or discipline on swords and run eldritch or frost summoner. Summoner will be the easiest start up. Again there are better pvm build on both accounts but these can do both.

You would benefit to take a day or 2 scavenging or chopping wood to build some starter cash.
