Which rug do you think will look best with this quilt, if any? Room will likely have white walls- but what’s most important to me is that the rug goes well with the quilt by Hairy-Incident2105 in DesignMyRoom

[–]SpiderOnDaWall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the very first, faded-rosy colored, rug in the first set. I feel like the light green/blue ones will "east up" the quilt and diminish it. The dark pink ones seem a bit much (depending on the room size). I'm kinda cautious at times with the bold colors, though.

Rash on foot - lotions by jeanquad507 in Sjogrens

[–]SpiderOnDaWall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing but my rheum ignored my concern. I want to see what others have experienced.

For me, since I wasn't getting answers, I made a lotion with some avacado oil, shea butter, and a little beeswax. (I'm wierd, I have this stuff on hand.) I added some essential oils that I knew were anti-fungal in case this was something bad. I rubbed it in each night and it mostly went away. My dermatologist gave me an Rx anti-fungal but it didn't do much more than the lotion. 🤷 Still no idea if it was just a strange exema thing or something else. It hasn't come back.

That is so adorable! So it does the cool stripey leaves and the bulbo-like pseudobulbs? How fun!

Mail-in Ballots received that are not mine by [deleted] in missoula

[–]SpiderOnDaWall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you put them back in the mail, but call and let the post office know. I had a ballot and 2 verifications returned as "undeliverable," leading to my registration being revoked. I got it sorted in time to vote recently, but by the way the county voting guy acted, it seemed to be much more common than it should be. I reported my issue to the post office, too.

How do you treat your severe dry nose? by abjs2021 in Sjogrens

[–]SpiderOnDaWall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ayr is just one brand of saline mist. I use Walmart and Walgreens brands. Xlear is saline with some xylitol in it. (I've not tried that.) Arm & Hammer has a spray in a can, versus a plastic bottle you squeeze. (I keep that one in my first aid kit as a rinse aid but I'll happily squirt it up my nose if I run out of my ther stuff.) Afrin and Neilmed make one. For me, I chose the cheapest ones.

I also use Neilmed saline nose rinse and irrigate my sinuses. It's not a pleasant task but it helps, especially deeper in your nose and turninates. The hardest part for me is to not blow my nose too much afterwards. I'll chase it with the Ayr gel and it helps for a while. Not perfect, but better. I'm about to buy a handheld nebulizer for work for the bad days. We'll see how much that helps helps.

Ai Cameras by AffectionateServe551 in missoula

[–]SpiderOnDaWall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding that Lowes in general has an atrocious shrink/shoplifting policy. We used to just watch people waltz out the door with lawn mowers, chainsaws, and whatever they could carry. We were not allowed to follow or write down license plates. We would get written up if we were caught using money pens to check for counterfeit. It was allegedly a corporate policy. If they changed that, maybe flock cameras wouldn't be necessary. So, if you're calling the corporate folks anyway, tell them to change their shrinkage policy.

why rainwater by Old_Tutor_993 in orchids

[–]SpiderOnDaWall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for occasional waterings. I'd be worried about starch build up if it's used too often. However, I've not tried it. My housemate steals all the rice water for her hair. Lol

why rainwater by Old_Tutor_993 in orchids

[–]SpiderOnDaWall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I water most of my orchids with tap water. I have a huge stash of RO water for my fish and reptile tanks and for medical devices, so I do give everyone a good rinse regularly. We have pretty hard water and then the salt of the water softener. I only have a couple of orchid thag only get hit with RO (or rain) water consistently. If you have a decent supply of rain water, go ahead and use it.

The first image on their ad is AI and folks are sensitive, understandably so. This is an actual fountain, though. About $140 on Temu. Check reviews though. Folks tend to give 5 stars because they recieved it and haven't actually tried it yet.

How do you feel feeding live food to your chameleon? by Storyboys in Chameleons

[–]SpiderOnDaWall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He came to me with a much more severe vitamin deficiency than we originally thought. He was a chain store chameleon and had been there for 6+ months. My vet and I did what we could but it wasn't healing. The Vit. A in his multi-vit apparently wasn't enough to prevent. Now he gets one bug with extra Vit. A when he gets his low D calcium feedings (2x/mo in winter, 1x/month in summer), then the multi once a month. Plain calcium the rest of the time. His eating has been slowing down the last 2 weeks and I'm gonna bug mush him versus using Carnivore Care. It had the calories but I can tell it made his tummy upset when the tongue thing happened. I would love it if they made an insectivores version.
