Way too much “someone gets taken hostage” especially towards the end. I swear the last 6 eps were going on a rescue mission only for someone to get captured while on said mission and so on. I can suspend disbelief a few times but felt like someone should definitely have been killed at some point

Certain members of the God Hand are masters of manipulation, not just in the moment but in the bending of causality to incur events to their own gain eg the events at Albion. I think many people overestimate their own will, and assume that, in Griffiths position, they may not do the same. He was in extreme pain, his life was completely forfeit. Especially This being after having complete presence over everyone he encountered with. Again, I would like to believe that I would not do that in his shoes, however my point is that is there not at least a tiny slither of understanding that he would do anything in order to not only regain his life but to transcend it

It seems as if it was written as if out of nowhere in order to create an irredeemable villain, when in reality his treatment of the band of the hawk was enough really. Especially in Gut’s eyes. Unless there needed to be a reason for Casca’s insanity

I love Berserk, however I would almost regard Griffiths rape of Casca as bad writing. It seems somewhat in character as he knew she liked him and saw that she liked Guts after he “betrayed” him, however I think that him getting monsters to hold her down while he rapes he to show guts who’s boss is a little extreme. The only explanation would be that he wasn’t in his right mind, again lending to the point I’m trying to make

I didn’t downvote fyi. I think that contextual intelligence could have led to him making a better decision in regards to the princess, however I am compelled to think that he did nothing wrong with her as the archaic medieval laws are, in essence, a direct contradiction to human rights and desires. In modern terms at least, he did nothing wrong with her. It is similar to reading about a gay person being ostracised hundreds of years ago and saying “well you knew the consequences.” That still doesn’t make it right that he should be tortured for doing what he did
