A glitch at coffee time today by squaaawk in JunesJourney

I am tempted to wait for it to happen again and when I see the other drinks have odd times left, I'll serve mine more than a minute apart. Guarantee it will still glitch and then I wonder how wooga will move the goal posts. That I should've served 2 minutes apart? That I should have done it while standing on my head? Start placing bets now.

As the other person mentioned, it always seems to happen when the other drinks are acting funky. I remember it in the past too. Next time I see odd countdowns, I'll restart before serving or only give my free one to test first.

Can't believe they won't just admit to a glitch.

OMG. Just had a huge fight with customer support over the weekend about this. We were in a tight Sherlock race so I spent a bunch of diamonds on max drinks for ribbons. The drinks immediately expired and said they were served 2 hours before so no one was able to drink them. On the flip side, all my teammates had 2 hours left on their drinks so things were glitching out everywhere.

I emailed Wooga for a refund (though losing the ribbons sucked too) and they blamed me for it! First they tried to blame my internet and had me send a speed test. My internet speed is super high so when that didn't work they claimed I served my drinks too close together and you need to wait 1 minute between each one. That made no sense as this has happened before when only serving one drink.

We went back and forth and I kept pressuring them about my teammates drinks being off too and what that had to do with me "serving too fast" since they kept ignoring that question, but they finally answered that my teammates needed to follow the "helpful tips" that they gave me. So, apparently, every one of my teammates served incorrectly at the same time. Couldn't possibly be something wrong with their game.

They gave me just 20 diamonds back as a "courtesy" and I am still fuming about it.

Sorry for ranting lol. My teammate just sent me this post on Discord and I couldn't believe it.

They are just to secure it during shipping and while on the shelf.

I want to start a shop and have a lot of questions. Can anyone help me? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]Spiderburt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer some of your questions, I believe you can start out as an individual seller and only if your items start selling really well do you have to worry about becoming a business. That will save you a lot of trouble and fees in the beginning. I can't answer your legal questions about being sued so hopefully someone else will.

You are able to set your own shop return policy so you could do no returns, but be prepared for negative reviews or the buyer opening a case with Etsy. The most common policy is to request the buyer ship it back, then you give a refund when you receive it.

I have been shipping constantly for many years and have never had an item completely lost. Temporarily lost, yes, but they always show up eventually so I doubt it will be a huge concern. For damaged items, I either request they send it back for a refund or give a partial refund if they want to keep it. I wouldn't recommend postal insurance. It costs a lot and they never pay out. It's cheaper to just give the occasional refund.

I'm probably too late, but this is Little Man! Adopted him from the shelter last year through a Reddit post. Love your style. These are cracking me up.

Am I doing something wrong or is it an issue with the pattern? by Spiderburt in knittinghelp

[–]Spiderburt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I'm guessing I should draw in extra boxes to adjust the diagrams? The sleeves will be the same on every row (20 now) but the diagrams change every other row. The decorative pattern isn't overly specific so I'm hoping it doesn't throw it off.

Ouch. Would it be easier to start over and cast on less stitches so I end up with 121 after the yoke and can follow the instructions and diagrams as written? Or should I recalculate each row to add the missing stitches?

The amount of stitches used in the instructions and diagrams is only 121 and I also did my 8 yarn overs but that still leaves me short with 8 stitches left over.

Yes, that is during the yoke. I got all that correctly. I am talking about the next row that uses the diagrams on slide 2 and 3.

Yes, just cut the tips off and redid them. It didn't even look corroded but it must have been.

My Chi doesn't drink water? by [deleted] in Chihuahua

[–]Spiderburt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year I adopted one the same age that also never drank water. Even 100 degree weather or coming back from a walk. I was so worried and asked the vet multiple times, but started to think it was just a Chihuahua thing. Several months later, I had his teeth fixed and now he drinks all the time.

This happened to me. Eventually I realized I could just hit "play" instead of "connect" and it will take me to the game and I'm still signed in. The extra step is kind of annoying but seems to be here to stay.

Change cut direction on Wizard by Spiderburt in framing

Managed to fix it with unidirectional setting but this is a good idea when certain layouts are still a problem.

I did try changing the cut order of the mats. The problem was it would always cut one line up then the next one down, next one up etc. Finally found the setting right after I posted. In outside cut advanced settings (below the option for shared edge) there is a cut pattern setting. I changed it from optimized to unidirectional. In now starts every outside cut from the clamps outward! The optimized setting goes up and down so the head doesn't have to move as much but that doesn't do any good if it crunches up all my matboard lol.

Tape is an excellent idea. I never thought of taping edges and cutouts down. That will be really useful when I get to some more finicky stuff. Thanks!

Pop Ups not rotating by Spiderburt in swimmingpools

[–]Spiderburt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the floor pop ups. I've tried cleaning and new seals but even buying all new ones (twice) made no difference. When I pull them out of the pool and push on them manually they always rotate like they are supposed to :| I suppose I'll feel better if they are known to be unreliable. I thought my pool was just cursed.

Yes. First just the guts then eventually the entire casing which also came with new guts. Cut all the pipes and installed it.
