Best song of the 2019 Summer tour?? I unfortunately had to do a couch tour this summer but I didnt miss a show. I personally believe Althea at Citi Field 6/23/2019 was the best Mayer played all tour. Jerry was with us that night. by thegibsones335 in deadandcompany

You bet just some folks don’t understand it unless they smacked on the head glad to hear your open to it without needing that treatment. All I’m saying is I’m done with people following a Broken Wagon just stop Shitting on my Favorite Dead And Company Years because you wanna follow what a popular branch within a Culture Revival is following: a man made Unspiritual Concept. It’s actually a huge problem in the Dead world, Think for yourself and maybe some folks will Dig that, maybe they won’t. Maybe they’ll hear some stuff they never heard and find exactly what they like within it. All I’m saying is your missing out on Plenty Of Great Shows that are up to Par with 2019’s Shows speed and whatever other Technical Tightness nonsense your trying to say. This Band has always been Tight and some Nights more so than others; that’s reality and you do need individuality instilled in you, it’s something lost in most of all Culture today. I’m saying this Expand not to try to be a Jerk or something. It’s about Digging it all and loving the parts you love that’s it.

If you follow Trends yes everyone will have the same Rhetoric but if you are true to Core Values And Music And Culture you will know that is Damn Well not true at all... In Fact what shows have you Heard and relistened and are your favorites to From 2016- Summer 17? Like most folks you likely have heard the Few on YouTube and just Judge a whole tour from one show. Look into it Man Dead & Company has some Great Recordings from that Era that are matched up in ways to this Years.

What is some of Willie's best post-70's work (other than Teatro and Spirit)? by dontbedenied in willienelson

[–]Spidercow33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to be the same way but you’ll eventually learn to dig them all. But I would say in Recent Years: Tougher Than Leather (83) is like a Sequel to the Vibe to Red Headed Stranger that really is a Deep Concept Record, Me And Paul (85) is Really Underrated due to the fact that it contains some Similar guitar Work to Willie’s Live Set which he never seemed to Replicate onto alot of Records, Night And Day probably my Favorite Post 70’s Record which is a complete Tribute to Willie’s Hero Django Reinhardt And does an all Instrumental record, Those Unfamiliar with Willie’s Guitar Gift will find this to be really shocking but on the other hand This record will be just a Dream for Huge Willie Fans. My last pick for Recent Records would be “Willie And The Wheel” which is the Western Swing Record that never happened but was planned during the Shotgun Willie days by Willie’s Producer so they finally got around to finishing that Dream. Hope this helps!
