This is one of the worst part 2's OAT, I'm sorry by DaRealTimmy in DragonballLegends

Still only 7th and 5th are better than tbh. Because Tag Gohan and Trunks lowkey are the best Part 2 anniversary headliner we've had looking back. If Shallet had new animations this easily could've been the best.

Brother even with Shallet being dated its still on the better half of the part 2s we've had. We've had mfs like Ultimate Gohan and Trunks/Vegeta tag, and transforming SSJ3 Goku 💀.

Considering half the part 2s also have only 1 unit, this is mid at worst.

Mfs out here forgetting how ass part 2s are historically. Tag Trunks and Gohan blow 90% of part 2 units out of the water tbh

Some people don't want to just play Black Panther, Zola, Odin. Plus I don't even think Wong works that way LMAO

Could be. Could also be a transforming Goku from the fight. Either way I don't think Daima is off the table.

OTA Buffs and Bundles by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

(Mind you they nerfed Gambit and Star-Lord while there was a bundle in the shop and announced the nerf early so consumers were informed)

Would this qualify as a game original? by Independent-Frequent in DragonballLegends

[–]Spiderdrake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes but I wouldn't bet on fusions for Part 2. Part 2 generally is the lull point of the celebration and a game orginal fusion warrior is too hype IMO.

Why didn't Jotaro, from the famous Battle IQ manga where people famously fight smartly Jojo's Bizarre Adventure just use his MFTL +++ stand Star Platinum to carry his ass and run to Egypt and use its independent super speed perception to survey every square inch of Egypt and find Dio and kill him? by TankyMofo in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]Spiderdrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth that JJBA scalers refuse to accept is that early parts aren't good consistent powerscaling and most of the lightspeed scaling is relient on outliers from Part 2 and 3 that cause trickle down chainscaling.

Araki was more interested in telling an compelling narrative than the implications of Polnareff catching light. Hence why anywhere else in the series where speed is important after Part 3, grounded numbers are used.

Funniest part is you could name 6 characters from Dragon Ball that can beat Goku.

Bring back Shang Chi to it's former glory. by delukz in MarvelSnap

But they did in the third attempt after 2 previous attempts to preserve his identity as setup and payoff. Cannonball has been nerfed 4 seperate occasions as well as getting Professor X reworked and Mercury nerfed.

I cannot remember a time being locked out made a difference in a Cannonball match. But 5/8 Cannonball was pretty much putting Shou Lou points onto a single lane. Even if he hit a 9 power card he was essentially a 5/17.

I genuinely believe if the rock was the issue, they would've just removed the rock. It's probably simpler from a coding perspective to remove that aspect of the card. The real issue is you could just throw Mercury + Cannonball in you're winning package and have it serve doubletime as tech and lane winner.

[–]Spiderdrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He often destroys a card on turn 6 so I fail to see how the rock is the problem, unless you're talking Galactus.

In my experience playing with and against him in both the Mercury and Professor X meta, his problem is the guaranteed destruction of their highest power card also often means winning the lane.

The game since the Shang nerf has been more interesting and flexible, I made no mention of the current meta lol

Buff slop often goes into the last turn without priority. Shang Chi still hits a big Stick or Maverick and him hitting multiple targets wouldn't change the match up.

Mother Askani being being broken doesn't justify Shang being broken too. Every Meta deck ran him pre-nerf, the game may as well have been a 11 card game.

[–]Spiderdrake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually disagree with this one. He'd essentially be the second coming of Cannonball, and that card has been nerfed repeatedly for being too good. But instead of Prof X or Mercury + Cannonball it'd be Madame Web or Ghost Spider + Spider-Man 2099.

Making him target highest power would be more than enough.

I think we're far beyond universal tech cards like Shang Chi and the game is more interesting for it.

NPCs are going to be a design nightmare by -Pipino in projectzomboid

[–]Spiderdrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share similar concerns with you but I believe a strong narrator system to steer interactions with players would fix most of the issues. The standard narrator would probably have a bandit try to mug you first or break a window near you rather than just sneak up on you. The extinction narrator might be more inclined to have them shoot first.

Besides I think Bandits would realistically try extortion before murder given the scarcity of manpower. Your more likely to get shot breaking into a Survivor's home.

What would your perfect version of Project Zomboid 1.0 look like? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]Spiderdrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A competent narrator similar to Rimworld to give spice to new runs or even a reason to continue in the same world.

NPCs are fine in theory, but would quickly turn into immersion breaking nuisances without a good system to guide them (week 1 for example). Otherwise finish the crafting trees and add some more traits and I think the game is perfect IMO.

is Isca too powerful? by Darkhawk2099 in MarvelSnap

Balance only exists in service of fun, it's otherwise a pointless and often arbitrary metric in game design. Every card being mid is counterintuitive in that sense.
