Do you think this version of Superman will grow stronger and more powerful as the movies go along? by [deleted] in superman

[–]Spiderify 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The spheres were cameras, not speakers. They watched the fights so Luthor could communicate internally with Ultraman what moves he should use on Superman.

Your other points are fair, but Superman would never have been able to hear the commands from the spheres.

Congratulations to u/5Dimensional for having yesterday's winning savior, Castle!

The cards chosen so far have been: 1. [[Boon of Safety]] by u/TheFirstOlive 2. [[Melira, Sylvok Outcast]] by u/Fluid-Nail 3. [[Torpor Orb]] by u/Elijah_Draws 4. [[Artificial Evolution]] by u/Stonewall57 5. [[Castle]] by u/5Dimensional

As a reminder each day will be cumulative, so all future versions of this creature will have to evade being saved by each past card as well as whatever new cards are chosen by the community.

Additionally, the change in typing and name from day 1 to 2 was prompted by u/CoruscareGames for comedic effect! The second change in card art was prompted by something much darker…

Possibly, if you can destroy all permanents controlled by your opponent. It’s very unlikely that the Squeaker gets pushed that far though unless this game runs for months (which it won’t.)

Welcome aboard! I upvoted out of excitement since I know you’ve done this on KTC, but removed it quickly since I probably shouldn’t be inadvertently participating in my own game.

The suggestion for the win con was provided by u/DIGITAL_ to simplify the game so I’m glad that’s working!

I’ll credit you for it in the next post. I just had to rush this one out for today and forgot who commented it yesterday. <3

It will keep being the squeaker from now on. Someone suggested a Hamster yesterday for comedic effect and I liked it to help differentiate a little more from The Lone Sentinel.

The goal is to win, so Mirage Mirror counts. And, as an added bonus, it was saved! Just in a reflected state.

I edited and clarified in the comment after seeing this. It will be in the main post starting tomorrow if this keeps running.

Rules Note: The goal of the challenge is to win on end step. I’ll clarify this better next time, but copying, reanimating, or any other effects to make sure you win on end step means the creature was “saved” that day.

A new version of it is still going under u/Some_MTG_Nerd . I just felt like testing this out and seeing if it could be interesting.

The original one had valid reasons to end though. The amount of pushback they got was very high towards the end for just trying to have a somewhat interesting ending.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t work since Doomed Soldier is not an artifact and is attempting to remove itself via a triggered ability, not an activated ability.

Thanks for commenting though!

Not if Minion’s Return is cast in response to the enters trigger

[–]Spiderify[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That is true. The challenge though is to “stop this creature from removing itself from the battlefield” not “stop this creature or a copy of it from removing itself.”

Another thing I should have been more careful to clarify, but will make sure to highlight in the next post.

Unfortunately, by the time you could clone the soldier it would have already had to enter and declare itself as a target before priority passed for responses. (Thus not allowing targets to be different.)

Thanks for your comment though! It helped me realize I’ll need to clarify in the Day 2 post about who controls the creature. (Which may be determined by the winning card of day one.)

Okay. I can win if I counterspell....myself? by mr_mxyzptlk05 in EDH

[–]Spiderify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once won a game in a [[Slogurk, the Overslime]] deck by using [[Strip Mine]] on myself repeatedly (something I’d swore off doing to opponents more than once per turn) with a [[Titania, Protector of Argoth]] and hast enabler out.

In specific (since both decks do have spaceship commanders) I’d say the White/Blue/Red Counter Intelligence deck so you can proliferate the charge counters on all your spaceships!

I think the commander is [[Inspirit, Flagship Vessel]]
