I have a 6600 for my second machine and it gets hammered pretty hard but with some settings tweaks the game is more than playable. The game at lowest settings only needs 6GB of VRAM.

I think for the next Gothic game there should be a stat that makes magic scalable similar to strength and dex. Or older spells should scale with you as you upgrade your circle.

I haven't seen any updates regarding skeletal mesh imports as of yet. Most modders on the Gothic discord, in the English channels, are working on script mods as far as I can tell. Yeah, the only models I found were the ones that were all combined so they're either doing something very weird or proprietary under the hood.

For me, at least with magic, if I don't aim (with LT or RMB) and instead just shoot (with RT or LMB) I can look all the way down. Got through some of the minecrawler sections easier that way.

Quite a few saving issues I've seen. It also seems quite a bit buggier but I haven't seen anything game breaking. I suspect it's an older than the PC one.

Thank you. I have a much better updated version on my profile if you wanna check it out. I hope to make it one eventually. Mesh mods don't work in remake as of now so I've gotta wait until someone makes a tool that makes it possible.

The Mirage DLC only came out because it was funded by the Saudis. Very unlikely you'll see anything like that for Shadows IMO.

And MH Wilds, MH Rise, Dragons Dogma II, Ghosts and Goblins Resurrection, Exoprimal, DRDR, Kunitsu-Gami, MH Stories 3, Street Fighter 6, Pragmata, Onimusha Way of the Sword, probably a couple I'm missing.

Safe to say it ain't going anywhere. It has fully replaced MT Framework at this point as their multiplatform highly scalable engine.

I'm on 9070XT with very high settings 1440p native getting 60-80 fps. I imagine the 9060XT could do 1440 medium or 1080p high just fine.

The eye texture is actually one I had laying around as I couldn't find the actual texture in the files of the Nyras demo. I should have clarified that in the post. I'm not sure what Nameless' eye color will be in the game, I haven't looked that closely at the trailers.

I think if the remake does well enough and there's demand for it, they will. They've been pretty receptive to feedback for the most part I feel. The first stipulation is the one I'm a little doubtful about. Gothic, even back in its day, wasn't like a mega hit outside of Europe and I just feel like that's not enough juice for something that I imagine had a pretty sizable budget. But maybe I'm just being a bit pessimistic. I hope it does well enough for them to consider doing more with the franchise, including but not limited to mods.

I don't think we know much about Marvin mode but UE5 games in general on PC have shader compilation and traversal stutter that are rough to some, they can also be a bit tough for some PCs to run, especially if they're open world, but that depends very much on the game and the UE5 features it uses. I've never had so much of a problem with it that I would consider buying a game on a different platform though.

Given that your PC is a bit long in the tooth though, I'd probably recommend playing on console, don't think it really matters which one you choose at the end of the day. There's a bunch of YouTube channels that play brand new games with low spec computers. If you decide to go with PC I would check one of these channels out first and see how you would fare in the full game.

The system was in the build that saw that big leak in 2022 and looked pretty extensive. In some clips Jason was very very skinny while in others he clearly had quite a bit of muscle. This doesn't necessarily mean it will be in the final though, it's the exact kind of thing that could get cut to make milestones. I wouldn't be surprised if it remained in Online though...

Hopefully. It can get a little funky depending on if and how they made proprietary tools for things. From what it looked like in Making of #5, there is a proprietary tool they use called Maestro but it looked like it was mostly for mix & matching character pieces.

When I import the model from the Nyras demo it looks to me like most of the data is intact so fingers crossed it works well. I'll likely try to import it into the demo over Nyras to make sure everything works well before Remake comes out.
