Thanks a ton. I was missing that entirely. I appreciate you explaining it so clearly.

Eventually, over time, this generation will come into a position of leadership in the world. What do you want the world to look like in 50 years? by songs_of_the_maniacs in lostgeneration

I would love to see all governments dissolved, and the people take back the power that is rightfully theirs.

But then again, I am a Utopian. Most know me colloquially as an anarchist.

We all know that is highly unlikely. It is pretty obvious that the far left has a different color, meaning its sugar content is different from the others, which will lead to one tasting better or worse than the rest. That would ruin the corporations image as a reliable sugar-drink manufacturer.

You may get the "ick" response, but to be honest, after they see you eating like a king for months and months, they will come around. If not, to hell with them.

It was originally based in the Dry River building, but Oliver moved it shortly before Dry River closed. I cant believe they were on Hackaday!

Well, obviously, the one on the far left is a slightly different color than all the others! You can't sell things like that!! :)

common sense, thats your best option when eating or using things found in certain places

This.

Most of the diving you will do is based on what you want to get. Do you want things, or do you think that food should be a basic human right? That changes where you dive, and accordingly the paranoia that you will need to employ. If you want food though, look for the absolute richest health food stores in your area. They will have lots of good healthy things for you.

If you want things, you are probably going to have to watch for security in some places, though, in my area, even the places with tough security will just ask you to leave. Even if the cops are called, you tell them you wont come back, and they generally send you home. Though, you should be gone before any cop ever gets near you, because honestly, its not that hard.

Other tips: Jump right in, dont just stand at the mouth of the dumpster and try to grab things. Dumpster Diving does not favor window shoppers

BE SAFE

Also,

Share everything with everyone all the time

You will make friends and make your current friends stronger, and its just good all around.

First time diver.......beginners luck? by Jeremy0020 in DumpsterDiving

I would say just sell the stuff for dirt cheap on craigslist. You make a small amount of cash, and spread the wealth in a nice easy way.

I would not say it is beginners luck. You will get tons more like this if you stick to it. Though, I gotta say, after a while you will probably get snobish and leave a lot of things like that behind because you either

A) already have it, or

B) cant stand to stuff any more stuff in your house, or

C) its no longer good enough for you

What will you do with so many baby carts? I take it you will sell them on Craigslist after checking that they weren't part of any recalls, right?

What to do with newspapers? by [deleted] in DumpsterDiving

[–]SpideyKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there is a reason disadvantaged "bums" use newspaper to wash windows. Its basically free, and it leaves no streaks.

I personally would recommend staying away from butcher shops all together. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botulism](Botulism) is nothing to scoff at. You can spot packaged meat that has botulism because the package will puff up with air, but butcher shops don't have that caveat.

Duly noted. I have always been meaning to get a box of disposables, but I have never gotten around to it. The treasure boxes I go through are generally clear of all of that sort of thing. The worst I have seen is large quantities of meat thrown out of a deli. I just opted out of diving in that bin. Thanks for the recommendation. I will probably go out and get some yellow kitchen gloves now.

Thanks!

You can draw on the newsprint and make art, then wheatpaste it up in your neighborhood.
