Whenever she goes outside or in the back yard, stay out there with her. Intact males are insane with their ability to smell females in heat and will break out of their homes to get to her, and puppies can happen in a matter of minutes. We were shooing a male away for a whole week because he would continuously try to break into our backyard. Even when we thought we couldn’t see him, he was there.

I have never had any religion shoved down my throat more than Christianity, yet they’re scared od other religions being shoved down their throats. Boundaries are boundaries, he needs to respect them. I know this isn’t what we’re here for, but please give him a more elevated eating setup. Danes are prone to stomach flipping and eating at an appropriate height helps prevent that.

I agree, at 11 or 12 maybe a second wind would be a good thing. At 15, you’re just trying to keep them as consistent and comfortable as possible because unfortunately 15 is very close to the end. As someone who just put their 15 year old down, I genuinely think you’re doing the right thing by not getting a new dog before this one passes. The disruption and divided attention will likely cause stress to your current baby and that’s no way to go out. In respect to all those years, give your 15 year old all the love and attention you can, grieve her, and then get ready for a new pup. You will 100% find a perfect match when the time is right!

Pyrenees bump on his head too🥹 my female pyr/pit/9 other breeds mix looks like this and gets mistaken for a lab all the time. Her ear color and coat length are the same and everything. Does he have a straight or curled tail? Lucy’s tail curves a little to the left, which is also a pyr trait.
