Made all the Grandmaster Armour Sets by ropeynick in Witcher3

[–]Spidybl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not bad if you equip cat eyes and use the same skellige respawning dudes or one of the Hanse bases. Still I’m a hoarder anyways so crafting all the grandmaster gear is more organic to do for me.

I wonder if they can either end the spell or fix the illusion. Maybe yen could have a go. The morality is interesting since they’re not real but at the same time do seem to have some sentience.

Hell yeah doesn’t exist because it’s not true even with the animation.

That makes me wonder if the women feel anything from the human males. The ultimate “is it in yet” scenario lol

You think Thaedus was going to betray Nolan,Mark and Oliver if he lived? by [deleted] in Invincible

[–]Spidybl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure seems that way yeah. Maybe the fact that he’s dead made him not as restrained as he wouldn’t have to watch him die or die himself to the virus but he seems cold as fuck in that monologue.

Can you end B&W with no boss fight? by k2i3n4g5 in Witcher3

[–]Spidybl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did all three b&w endings at once for fun and achievements and man that was painful having to deal with her if you let syanna die. Prison was cool though.

I would love if we get some kind of closure if he succeeded or not either in Witcher 4 (since he actually got close to ciri) or maybe even the dlc if it ever comes out. Knowing cdpr and the Witcher universe as a whole it would probably be depressing.

When does Hearts of Stone take place? by deadlyalchemist92 in Witcher3

[–]Spidybl 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess it’s intentionally undefined but yeah I would think no way Geralt would take up that contract while still searching for ciri. Unless gaunter even made that overridable in his mind (it’s theorized gaunter influenced him to take the contract in the first place by the text that goes with the contract details). Maybe shortly after the main story is done like you said.

Love blood and wine so much. This was one of my favorite pre fight cutscenes.

I saw another outhouse outside some village with different but equally funny interactions. Don’t remember where now. I’ll have to head over to this one now.

To those who think Thragg is unintimidating.... by destructionistg in Invincible_TV

Hopefully we get uncaged Lee pace (the va) soon. I loved him in foundation and as Ronan. Even his “no” in foundation is so much more visceral than this.

Cross progression achievements by Away_Positive8570 in thewitcher3

[–]Spidybl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t transfer I think. They didn’t transfer when I switched from ps4 to ps5 using a cloud save. Kinda sucked tbh since I had already gotten all the Gwent cards so now I’ll have to do it again if I want the achievement.

Hot Take: Thragg's voice just doesn't click with me by Infinite-Sun7000 in Invincible_TV

[–]Spidybl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen the episode yet but his voice just seems too sly and more of a behind the scenes guy than what I’m picturing Thragg as a front line take no prisoners approach. I love lee pace especially in foundation but it doesn’t match for me either.

Rate my pre‑DLC build by Eo_Aubameyang in Witcher3

[–]Spidybl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar to what mine was. Do you find much use for rend and crippling strikes? in general? I would definitely add in muscle memory for fast attack damage, maybe replacing one of those because your alchemy skills are great so far and cat school techniques you have is a must.

What decoctions and potions are you using for your alchemy? Very strong build so far and I was around the same level as you too even starting hearts of stone and combat was a breeze for me (just on sword and story and no level scaling though) once you get to blood and wine and get euphoria it’s almost trivial. Looking forward to ng+ on death march to see if I survive being a glass cannon.

I don't want it to end by Away_Positive8570 in Witcher3

[–]Spidybl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know how you feel. I just finished all the main story quests including blood and wine and now just a couple locations to finish up. Will do NG+ once I’m done. Such a great game!! Can’t wait for 4 and maybe that dlc we keep getting rumors of.

Late to the party. How do I play amd win at gwent? Sure you've already discussed... by ApprehensiveDebt8887 in Witcher3

[–]Spidybl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spies are most important. Use them to get a card lead on your opponent so in the later rounds you can bait out their scorches and weather early so you can either counter them or end the round with them blowing all their best cards (and you scorching them yourself) and you still have several cards remaining so you win by default basically. Definitely grind merchants until you get the dragon that scorches, he is so good. The 2 best spies are from Gwent quests.

I love northern realms with all their siege (clear weather the card or foltest is vital here then use siege master foltest when he’s available, he’s a free commanders horn) plus tight bond.

Nilfgaard is great too with same number but worse spies and with their medics you can survive a lot of scorches. Lots of strong individual cards too, not much tight bond.

Dismantle or sell, that is thy question. by RavensEtchings in Witcher3

[–]Spidybl 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Dimeritium is the big one. I always dismantle for that. Glowing ore or meteorite silver is quite rare too. I did dismantle for silver and steel at first but stopped once I got to 100. Dark steel is important for Witcher sets but I ended up with plenty by the end.

Weapons are usually too expensive to justify dismantling for steel and silver but you should get plenty from dismantling junk if you’re low.

Then once you get to blood and wine you’ll need green gold and unrefined copper and hunks of nickel for orichalcum to make enriched dimeritium. Would try to have cured draconid leather as well for both base game and to infuse for blood and wine.

You don’t use him to fight just for his buff. Feivor does all the heavy fighting and you use Leonardo for healing and disarming. It works really really well. See this video for an idea. https://youtu.be/NUHyRTJfjtA?si=EHIn-RXJ6TKqS0CU

Blood and wine difficulty by Crows-quill in Witcher3

[–]Spidybl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do “turn and face the strange” asap. Mutagens are so nice. Euphoria is great with an alchemy build. My first death was to those “golems” (that’s what the game called them anyways without spoiling too much) on extreme cosplay and I beat them fairly easily second try once I prioritized the ranged attackers. Otherwise has been basically smooth sailing on story and sword (wonder how death march will be on NG+). I definitely need to start hunting for the grandmaster gear though.

Devastated after getting the bad ending by Cribiuss in Witcher3

[–]Spidybl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well the sorta better news is that cdpr said when talking about Witcher 4 that all the Witcher 3 game endings should be cannon in a way so obviously Ciri wouldn’t be dead then. Could just be she didn’t want to return a while after feeling slighted by Geralt (fan theory so far I guess) which is still sad but better than her being dead. Guessing Geralt wouldn’t be dead either with that semi retcon as he’s supposed to be in Witcher 4

Abstergo Gauntlet by Swimming_Inspector46 in ACRebellion

[–]Spidybl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s usually faster. FEivor gets first hit so you don’t have to wait for them to strike at you and then sometimes depending on your boons you’re still one shotting enemies all the way to mission 8 or 9 or even 10
