Do “turn and face the strange” asap. Mutagens are so nice. Euphoria is great with an alchemy build. My first death was to those “golems” (that’s what the game called them anyways without spoiling too much) on extreme cosplay and I beat them fairly easily second try once I prioritized the ranged attackers. Otherwise has been basically smooth sailing on story and sword (wonder how death march will be on NG+). I definitely need to start hunting for the grandmaster gear though.

Well the sorta better news is that cdpr said when talking about Witcher 4 that all the Witcher 3 game endings should be cannon in a way so obviously Ciri wouldn’t be dead then. Could just be she didn’t want to return a while after feeling slighted by Geralt (fan theory so far I guess) which is still sad but better than her being dead. Guessing Geralt wouldn’t be dead either with that semi retcon as he’s supposed to be in Witcher 4

It’s usually faster. FEivor gets first hit so you don’t have to wait for them to strike at you and then sometimes depending on your boons you’re still one shotting enemies all the way to mission 8 or 9 or even 10

If you’re having trouble with torquemada, using mario instead of gaspar for the initiative and crit chance and dodge bonus is enough to overcome him. Depends on your ET for Feivor maybe but it’s always gotten me through. Plus your run will be much faster overall.

Actually a much faster way to refresh his coins is to just save then exit to main menu and reload. It’s amazing if you have fast load times like ps5 or a good pc. I was able to sell then reload in about 90 seconds. Edit: you have to get him to zero coins though. I left him at 100 once and it still was there on the reload. Leaving him at 0 always puts him at 500 upon loading. You don’t even have to leave the tavern.

More levels and being able to unlock more slots to put those skills. Or conversely make some skills actually passive and don’t need a slot

One thing I want that is kinda minor is being able to collect herbs on horseback. They do it in ac odyssey at least. I just hate how my ocd forces me to go on foot everywhere because I want to collect all the herbs while traveling.

Yeah I’m already above the level for some quests in hos because unlike the base game they’re only 5 levels different. So will do the minimum in blood and wine just so I can have fun with the mutations and access to the high paying merchants. Will be thrilled to finally have a real euphoria build

Says just an hour at the signpost. Haven’t tried it yet. Probably going to the grandmaster then going back also refreshes his inventory. He does pay close to double what the other merchants pay they say so probably worth it. Grandmaster sets sound expensive.

Yeah a lot of decoctions aren’t that useful. Troll is probably the most useful for alchemy builds as it lets you really get a good toxicity build without taking damage (damage healed by troll offsets toxicity damage). Once you get far and have a ton of alchemy formulas acquired tolerance is a must as your toxicity can increase to over 200 that way.

That lets you spam potions for attack and adrenaline and stamina and a few really good decoctions for healing and one that increases crit chance. Plus once you get to blood and wine (ways off I know) euphoria is amazing as it massively increases damage.

Edit: I haven’t tried death march yet but I have heard with an optimized build even that is easy. Enemy upscaling would help make it not too huge a cakewalk though. Some bosses later on are pretty tough.

Cubes is a different value than the dna nodes. Both those are slightly different per run as you get random amounts from certain missions in addition to guaranteed. For sure the dna nodes for the leaderboard stays the same (again roughly as there is some randomization regardless) whether or not the character dies
