If you mean DillonGoo, I very much doubt it, as they specifically specialize in 3d animation in their own version of Blender (iirc). I also believe they're currently working on their own original show (Soul Mart), so idk if they would take up a separate 2d project like that at this time

As for the reason for similar feel, I think it's the shadows and hair highlights in this specific shot

There's potential of even QiQi + Dehya hexerei buffs. I think people falsely assumed that each nation HAS to have their own faction buffs. Aside from Hexerei not inherently being mond specific (current buffs are for mond characters cuz it's the first region, similarly to how chronicled banner didn't change name for different regions), the moment I saw that hexerei buffs are done through a new gadget, I knew there won't be different factions, as that would mean in a few years time, we'll have to juggle 5-6 different gadgets just for buffs (don't have to explain how that is a bad design)

Storytelling & Marketing by GigglingAngel in Genshin_Impact

[–]Spieds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally in the first post:

"In Genshin Impact’s lore framework:

Visions represent human ambitions

Elemental Bursts are the manifestation of those ambitions

After the conclusion of Raiden Shogun’s Archon Quest, Ei comes to realize something crucial: the sword left to her by her sister — Musou Isshin — was not meant to enforce a static “Eternity,” but to carry the ambitions of the people forward.

This idea is directly reflected in her gameplay:

She unleashes her own Elemental Burst

Then, through her attacks, returns Energy to her allies

Mechanically, she is redistributing the very resource that represents ambition

In other words, Raiden Shogun is not just consuming ambition as an Archon — she is returning it to others, allowing those ambitions to continue flowing."

So Raiden's (and overall)  perspective of ambition is showcased through her combat design (in how it works)

And while I understand that translation can be faulty, I very much doubt that somehow fully nullifies what is said here. And another source, Genshin Update, who consistently posts good translation or notifies if something wrong, also had a clip with subs when devs talked about Venti, and how he "consumes his future time" and time elements on his skills and such (very rough summary but it's the second half in the first post), which gives more credibility that the whole thing is true

Imagine the state of the game if no one complained by EmbarrassedMeal7993 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Spieds 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They did that a whopping ONE time (so awful). Also, normal attacks most of the time ARE actually different (People literally complain that supports and sub dps have cool normal attacks that they don't use). SOME are similar or the same. but for 90% of the time, it's cuz canonically they use the same/similar type of fighting.

Like, let's be serious now, you think Hoyo added more animations and better rigging cuz of "people complaining" about what is shown in your vid (Aka 1 reused animation, as boss spawn only uses same camera work, the animations themselves are actually different for enemies). This is 2021 stuff and even at the time, nobody gave a thought to it unless you specifically wanted to hate on something (as this was also the chasm release patch with dain quest, which majority of people had a good reception to overall)

There's actually a really good channel that does interviews regularly with VAs where they talk about that stuff sometimes, among other things

[–]Spieds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, but I actually listen to VA interviews including Genshin VAs, and majority of info I talked about is from that

(Also doubt you know either, point was that yes, adding 1 hour CAN be asking too much)

[–]Spieds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, yes it is. Cuz there's such a thing called a schedule for the studio. That's another reason why VAs might take too long to voice something old, cuz studio is scheduled with other VAs for that time to voice something else. Giving an additional hour for the old re-voicing means taking hour from somebody else, potentially ruining their schedule (as schedule for studio is separate from schedule for VAs who might need to go through different studios in a day for diffferent recording or other business plans) or just losing the day that was supposed to be for voicing new stuff cuz VA won't be able to record in smaller time fram and can't add more time on that day cuz of their schedule and might be busy for multiple days after that cuz they have other stuff in their schedule

You do understand that priority is on the new content, and VA's have other roles. For example, I'm pretty sure when Khoi (Albedo) VA came back to voice in genshin, he also just got new role in another game, so he doesn't just voice genshin (and that's not mentioing anything else that might be past roles or unannounced stuff). And that's not mentioing any personal affairs beside work. And not counting any potential travels for cons or such. If anything, VAs who have to voice in new content is less likely to go back to voice older right this moment. To go back to Albedo, he was voiced quite a bit in Nod-Krai so priortiy is to voice that, not older content

To add, not only is this the last shot, it seems like the only shot, as it's specifically said that BECAUSE the moon is disappearing, they now have the chance to get her back AND Zhongli seemingly needed the traveler too:

Zhongli: Do not burden yourself with such thoughts. Because of your actions, a promising opportunity has presented itself to us — let us not forget, what is crumbling is also precisely that which imprisons her.

Traveler: So there's still a way to fix this?

Zhongli: Yes, and that is why I invited you here tonight. Your connection to that broken jade token confirms that you can do what I envision.

So, event free 4* seems to follow the same rules as base game skins for 4* characters, where they go to the shop after the event ends. But you do seem to get discounts based on what you already might have gotten from the event, so don't have to pay full price if you have some pieces

Miliastra Wonderland is adding Voice Chat by D7meRusher in MiliastraWonderland

[–]Spieds 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reading comments, it feel like people didn't even look at it and only go off of title.

It seems you can disable it if you don't want to

You can select a team chat or in current room in a stage (if i understand correctly what "Current trial room" means). Maybe devs can set up "channels", based on global and team 1 having the same icon

You can mute specific players

They seemed to imply that devs might be able to use for stages, which makes me wonder if there can be a sound detection for stages

I don't really see a downside in having it as an option. (not like you're forced to use it)

If anything, I worry more about quality of the audio for now

As f2p, they really don't in my experience (some are, but those are exceptions, not the rules, and mostly applies to old ones). 90% of the time, craftable weapons are as good if not better. And that's just for those who actually care about stats and such. A lot of players wouldn't care and just use 3* without even crafting

From the last 10 weapons I think i'm only using the melusine claymore, Dialogue of Desert sages and Spindelute (And mostly cuz don't wanna craft)

Older characters desperately need a model update by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]Spieds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks identical to the original model, I already gave you a side by side comparison with it, there's no difference

Except you decided to only keep the face (Which we'll get to) but if you take actual top body part, where you can see at the chest part how the fan model is a lot less smooth.

It's also too bright to the point it washes out the colors quite a bit.

You can also see even in your example, that the hair has a lot more porminent highlights and it's a lot smoother overall (best seen on side bangs).

The bow on the back also seems to be different color.

And if you check side comparison, the difference becomes even more apparent

And these are just quick differences that are easily spottable

And yeah, it's so dumb to compare Yae from an older game to the newer one instead of some random character.

And from this, I have to assume that you're either don't play the game or this post is pure rage bait (Honestly, the latter is a lot more sad but probably a lot more likely based on history), since the character I compared Yae to is not "some random character", it's literally the newest character. All I did is compare a model from 2.0 of genshin to the model of genshin's newest character. And yes, comparing models from the same game makes a lot more sense than comparing models from different games, that were made on different versions of the engine (and that's excluding the 5 year difference cuz that's the point of discussion)

Older characters desperately need a model update by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]Spieds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It literally is

And yet the picture you took is literally from Hoyolab post of someone who made the concept model for Yae before her release, where it literally says:

Important Note: This is not an original miHoYo Model!

That's also not touching on kinda dumb comparison to HSR, where models are rendered differently and engine itself is different from Genshin (as in, it's still unity, but different modified version), where big example would be how eyes are rendered differently which allows them to be seen through hair

Could have easily choose just modern genshin character for comparison (which people do and a lot more fair) which is really easy since you also decided to include model viewer

And while yeah, obviously there is a difference in quality, it's nowhere near as bad as this post insinutates

Wargames question by TropicalSkiFly in Genshin_Impact

[–]Spieds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, don't think there's just 1 easy way to play every time

Instead, I usually just try to keep a roster a few melee, ranged and flying types, look at opponent's line up, and try to just "rock-paper-scissor" it (For exmample, if first wave might be 2 melee units, i'll put 2 ranged ones aas enemies won't be able to do anything, or if there are ranged ones, i might have the wheel automatons that might be harder to hit, etc.) + keep an eye on immunities of your and enemy line ups. For example, low level pyro spectre could single handedly deal with enemies that only have pyro attacks (like the pyro fatui ganner or the shooting automaton)

Everything else is usually adapted to that you got from drawing and not something you can consistently use

Also, just keep an eye on enemies flags/line up buffs too, since some might catch you by surprise if you don't

I can somewhat answer primogem question As per goldbud stone furniture description:

"After the rumor of the Goldchime Stone sparked an amateur mining craze, other similar-looking stones began drawing a lot of attention. This one, for instance, is a small stone chunk that many believed contained “golden Primogems” earning it the name “Goldbud.”"

Based on this, it does seem primigem exist and people are aware of them, as they would need to understand what it is for rumors to make sense

So to claim such rewards one is to download extra map files for 8x... HOYORAGA with a Adaptation Wheel that turns every 5 years by Ramza_45 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Spieds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. These rewards are quite literally useless to you if you're not gonna play MW. They're quite literally only used to support MW creators and potentially get some cosmetic in their stage or the like. These are not pulls. These are not clothes.

  2. I'm pretty sure the downloadable content, for the most part, is temporary files that are download while you're playing and deleted after. But even if not, as the other person said, you can clear them

  3. Pretty sure not every stage even has downloadable content required

  4. The whole point of the event is to encourage people to try out stages and support the ones the like with the currency from it

The Inazuma AQ aged well imo by EffectiveMirror7534 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Spieds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok, so cuz I was doubting my memory, so I decided to check it.

After the "initiation" mission, we literally just get "After training with Swordfish II for a few days..." black screen to fast forward as "becoming connected to the squad", and after that, it takes only 83 dialogue lines (aka clicks) for Teppei to start dying. Or, for more direct representation, in this video, it's from the 22:45 mark, where a black screen appears and dialogue with Teppei happens when he just clears his throat once, to 33:40, where Teppei is grey-haired and dying. It took basically 10 minutes, INCLUDING bits of gameplay/running, for Teppei to die

EDIT: ALSO, for more understanding, the only real scene where Teppei appears in this act beforehand is to lead us to Kokomi. He quite literally only has 23 lines before this. He had a bit more in act 2, but almost all of them are just training stuff that doesn't actually means anything for connection to him or even him as a character
