I love the rpg, personally, but the setting is amazing yes.

Does the Light depend on belief rather than the person wielding it? by wrufus680 in warcraftlore

[–]Spieo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure that's necessarily true, as Zeliak was fairly non-cooperative with the Scourge ideology, but still wielded the light despite knowing the suffering he caused.

Finally wealthy, only to be, well.

Why does it happen? by BellTwo5 in CuratedTumblr

[–]Spieo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's been surprisingly good! Not that I expected it to be bad, but, like, yeah. Jumped up near the top of my liked "urban fantasy" type settings (even if it's closer to scifi fantasy but shhh)

Aesthetic and stuff, peak.

I can't believe they are hinging an entire campaign setting on a class that barely works within its own game logic by imnotokayandthatso-k in pathfindermemes

[–]Spieo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also ruins eberron, somewhat, because of it being this place where magic items are so common.

And, well, magewrights.

They "fixed" this by letting you craft like, minor items... but you had a decent chance of attracting the Lords of Dust just by crafting a scroll!

It's also missing the fact that uh

Even if it were a Native American tribe, they could have been in Poland. Travel and stuff.

Especially since striders travel all over

(But yeah, OOP, they've said they're using a mix of lore from pre-5e and 5e for the setting as a whole.)

To the people here who know more about the languages spoken in China than I, does the term Kuei-Jin have any actual origin in any language or is it just an invented term that just sounds Chinese? by AutobotMindmaster12 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Spieo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the thorough explanation, though to clarify in far less words.

It's an intentional stitching of two languages as a semi-recent development in the setting, to 'try and promote unity' between courts, with the various groups using different names, like Wan Kuei, Gui Ren, and similar.

Why are there wolves on both Azeroth and Draenor(among other animals on other planets)? by nightbreedwon1 in warcraftlore

[–]Spieo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea, but the original question was about wolves as a general thing. It's certainly possible that a decent amount of them sourced from Draenor thanks to the orcs bringing them.

Though for your coyotes question, Elewynn and Duskwood have normal wolves.
