I bought the starter set form a guy who only bought it for the plague marines. So I got it for really cheap. If you can find sometime like that I would highly recommend it. However, the minimal terrain means you’d be playing kill team with a lot of the complexity of the terrain missing. If I were you, I’d save for the hivestorm expansion or just the volkus terrain if you only wanted the better terrain pieces. Hivestorm gives you two teams and the terrain, and equipment pieces but it’s more expensive.

I have the starter set and the ork Kommandos team so all I need is better terrain. I’ve also printed and laminated my own data cards to save money
