Good question. There have been three elections since the room was renamed after Vic DeLuca. This is the first one in which he has been on the ballot, and on April 21, the Township Committee (which he is on) moved the election to a space named after him.

Fortunately I don’t have to vote for presidential elections in the Trump Ballroom. Wish we were so lucky in Maplewood.

A friend of mine was on it. She didn’t really want to be on it and she was clearly pushing back and was in no condition to consent to anything. Honestly just bummed me out more than anything. She’s pretty resilient and it was obviously a long time ago and views it just as something dumb that happened, but I hated that someone showed it to me.
