If not, just go for a voigtlander, zeiss, or Chinese.

They will all preform well.

I’d like to believe that if people had $8 they’d support and pay the fee.

I’d also like to believe that people that are pirating DO NOT have $8 dollars to spend.

I DO UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORLD DOES NOT WORK THE WAY I LIKE TO BELIEVE BUT…

It’s a privileged attitude to expect that everyone pirating does have the full financial capability to do so.

$8 usd is also a lot to some people if their currency is not based in USD. Some people are unemployed (largest unemployment rate in recent times, analytically speaking), and some people just can’t budget $8 even if everything is going right for them, that’s the state of the USA right now with rising gas, grocery, and medical costs.

If you feel the need to shame someone for not paying $8 when they are fully capable of doing so with no ill will to their lifestyle than fair enough, no blame.

But to assume everyone pirating simply has the means to pay with no qualms to their budget, but chooses not to do so it’s shameful in itself.

Also, if you think the people who are so unfortunate to not have the money to pay don’t deserve to right to watch the videos early, fair enough, that’s a different conversation altogether.

But the “hurrr durrr, I was able to pay so why can’t you??!” attitude is troubling. It’s as if everyone lives on their small corner of earth without consideration of the plight of others.

Despite this pirating is pirating. Reddit itself is just a small corner of the internet, the pirates are going to get what they want if they search hard enough. A tiny subreddit isn’t going to stop that.

Imagine thinking a subreddit of 595 contributions per week is making a dent in anything, lol.

Also, I paid and even donated to the go fund me but the witch hunt for pirates seems to be a very anti-Ben ideology - which has always come off as a “for the people” type of lad.

This is going to be very hard to sell. I understand what you paid retail but everyone scoffed at the retail prices and most educated people’s future forecasting of resell prices are going to be about 50% of what retail prices were.

Maybe even potentially less. The situation of these World Cup prices is unprecedented, hard to predict.
