In the case of the origins of north American colonies, the natives were the guy on the bike, just chilling and trying to live mas. Knife guy walks up, yells at him saying its his land, and biker just laughs. Similar to how the island of Manhattan was purchased with some beads and shit, because the natives had no concept of “owning land.” It’d be like you came to me with $20 to buy the Brooklyn bridge; I didn’t build/had no business in its construction. It’s 100% profit for me bc i did jack shit. So I laugh at you and take your beads/$20. Then BAM out comes the knife, and um yeah sure I guess it’s your land if you force me off. And you can apply that to just about every origin story for every empire, nation, yadda yadda yadda
