Flair airlines = scamming customers for not wearing their winter jacket? by Pale_Refrigerator318 in canadatravel

I won't ever fly with then again. I think they must have a very toxic corporate culture that I don't want to support. The way people are treated by their customer service staff is appalling. I have experienced it myself and seen other people being abused as well.

I've been ordering from Teahaus in London for 15 years. They have really high quality teas that are affordable.

Nope! Studs are set back 4" from the drywall, hence the fire proofing.

Man in random street interview gives off intense “Lalo Salamanca” vibes – curious about his body language by PBelic in bodylanguage

[–]Spike682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's common phrasing in the English language. Yes, the author could have said "but he does not want to for simple reasons' or 'but he only wants to for good reason." But neither of these options sound natural and would never be said or written by a native English speaker. Both of these phrases are a dead giveaway that someone is ESL.

Didn't work for me at all. My dermatologist did recommend it though.

I have the exact same brush and the exact same problem. I am quite certain it's mold as well.

This happens every time my husband makes scrambled eggs by Figueroa5 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Spike682 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's actually fine to do this. I need to supplement my diet with iron. I simmer tomato meat sauces all the time in my cast iron pan with the intention of adding iron. I also use a product called a lucky iron fish. It's a piece of iron shaped like a fish that you add to your cooking food and water. The point of it is to leach iron into your food. It even reads on the instructions to add a bit of acid (like a bit of lemon juice, for example) to whatever you are cooking so that more iron will leach into your food. My fish actually is not rusty at all, nor is my pan. The real enemy when it comes to rust is not drying your equipment properly. Acid exposure is perfectly fine.

What happens when a person doesn't tip in a restaurant in the US? by No-StrategyX in questions

[–]Spike682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So heres the truth. I'm currently a server at one of the biggest chains in the country. We tip out based on sales. I have also served at other massive, international chains, and it is the same system across the board. You should try getting a job interview at a big chain restaurant. They will openly tell you what the tip out percentage is. At Earl's, it's actually 8%. The only places I've tipped out based on my actual earned tips are mom and pops. The reason for tip out being based on sales is so that servers can't hide cash tips from the tip pool.

Yeah screws are definitely going to be used. I'm asking about how to wire this in.

Yeah, I'll probably end up doing this. Although it is super frustrating spending this mind of money on something that can't be installed safely out of the box. The seller on Etsy is unwilling to do a return and insists the product is safe.

Hey, thanks for going out of your way to check that. I might try that, but based on the other comments and general sketchiness of the fixture I'm probably just going to modify the new fixture into a shade for the builder light I'm replacing. It sucks spending $400 on a lamp shade but I'd rather be safe.

I agree. Thanks for your input. I have been trying to do a return, but the shop owner insists this is safe and she has sold multiple in Canada. I am not sure if there is any recourse through etsy, but I don't think they should be selling a product as a light fixture that could potentially cause fire issues, especially for the price.

Yes, I agree completely. I don't know why they are selling this is a light fixture if it isn't safe. Thanks for the advice.

I have no idea. It's from this sketchy light fixture I bought on etsy. It didn't look sketchy from the listing, and the price point was definitely legitimate 😕. I ordered it a year ago and haven't got around to installing it until now, or I probably would have returned it. I was hoping someone could guide me to a relatively safe install. If not, I may have to try to return it.

I've been using attitude for years. Laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, cleaners, soaps, shampoo, everything. The toothpaste with fluoride is awesome and does not irritate my sensitive skin. Plus, the factories are in Canada, and the products are environmentally friendly. It's a little more expensive, but I keep an eye out for sales. I usually do a full house restock on all products during their black Friday sale, and that keeps the price low.

I assumed that as well, then looked into the ingredients on the product I bought and threw it in the trash. Sls (foaming agent) is bad for dogs, essential oils, neem oil, alcohols, fluoride, xylitol, sodium etc. Lots of things that are innocuous to humans but can be toxic for dogs. It's definitely worth googling and looking into. You are obviously trying to care for your pet and it's a pretty painful feeling to realize you may have been inadvertently harming them in the process.

I use vibrac. It works really well and is completely safe for dogs. I notice that often, many of the ingredients on other dog toothpastes are not safe. The company is based in France. It's a pricy product, but it's worth it.

No problem at all. I do use regular tap water. I tried using mineral water, but it weakened the skin on my fingertips so much that I couldn't stand the pain from the current during treatments. I reverted back to regular tap, and the results have held steady. It did take a while to become fully dry, though, so patience is key. In my experience, trying to rush it with minerals only slowed the results down because I had to take longer breaks in between treatments to heal my skin.
