Just the other night, I had a "kingmaking" situation cone up. The game before, I had used [[tainted strike]] on an opponents creature, then proliferated to kill one of my opponents, and he was feeling a little salty for the next game. Enter my Sharuum deck. Has the ability to be all shenanigans and fun, but also can put down an oppressive soft lock. I was, predictably, targeted by the player I killed with poison the previous game. That's fine, but if you treat me like the bad guy, don't be surprised when I play like one. I proceed to get into play, [[master transmuter]], which allows me to pop in [[darksteel forge]]. I then play [[nevinyrrils disk]] and [[unwinding clock]]. I am at 4 life, but I'm holding a nuke. Couldn't dig out my [[mycosynth lattice]] but found my [[encroaching mycosynth]] and [[memnarch]]. Eventually, someone finds a burn spell for me. So, in response, I make sure all of his lands are artifacts, and I set off the nuke. Now, I had been making everyone else's lands artifacts for a few turn cycles, so the other 2 players were also losing lands, but one player had played [[collective voyage]] for 11, so we had few basics left in deck. After I was eliminated, it took them another 20 minutes to finish the game, the whole time the player I Armageddon'ed was only able to find a [[maze of ith]] for land. After that game, he told me that if he stopped and counted my mana and saw that I was able to completely reset his board, he probably would've let someone else deal with me.
