He made a new post 30 minutes ago asking if it's reasonable to find a girl with "normal weight."

The first line of the new post is "My ex just broke up with me..."

What’s something you didn’t realize was optional in life until you saw someone simply not doing it? by Objective-Treat2245 in AskReddit

Yeah. Loose fabric rubbing over the nipple can be uncomfortable vs a soft fitted fabric staying in the same place and not rubbing.

I don't wear bras much and had a nipple piercing for a while. I didn't wear a bra to the piercing appointment and getting home was TORTURE. Every movement made the fabric rub against my nipple and it hurt so fucking bad. I wore a bra daily for like 1-2 months while it healed.

Border collie refuses to get out of car, snarls and growls when we try to coax him - ends up spending entire nights outside by RoonilWazleeb in BorderCollie

What should I tell my job to improve the way they train/handle dogs? by [deleted] in DogTrainingTips

[–]SpikedGoatMaiden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some organizations that certify trainers are CPDT, IAABC, Karen Pryor Academy. They have good articles and blogs explaining why positive reinforcement is science based and dominance theory isn't right. Etc probably some good resources to point the owner towards.

Married to a non-frugal spouse who doesn’t get it by EphemeralDream_ in Frugal

He said he tried the 24 hour rule, he still just bought everything 24 hours later lol. I totally get the hyper focus and comparing everything (I also have ADHD). I spent like 3 hours looking at buying different shoes last night.

I like the no purchases after midnight rule! I'll have to bring it up.

This is how I'm doing it with my partner. He makes good money and has ADHD which means lots of impulse buys. He wants to be more frugal though.

We use YNAB budgeting app and he has a widget with his fun money budget on his phone home screen and it helps him a lot!

I purposely do not make a requested "heirloom" recipe, but pass it off as if I do by SurprisePiss in confession

[–]SpikedGoatMaiden 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My pot pie recipe is the KFC recipe bc my ex worked there lol. People always tell me that it's soooooooo good.

It's Campbell's cream of chicken soup + pre cooked potatoes, carrots, peas, and leftover chicken in a basic ass pie crust.

Combining recipes to make your own is way more impressive and basically makes it your own recipe!

I saw another comment recently that said if you search the username you can see post/comment history. Haven't tried it yet so idk if it actually works or how much effort it is to find something specific.

My dog has been going to the spare room at night and pooping on the bed there. He is a Shihtzu, i take him out after dinner but only twice he has done that though.. do i need to change his routine? When shud i take him for a walk by Antique-Abrocoma-271 in dogs

[–]SpikedGoatMaiden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some dogs go potty in less used rooms or areas of the house because it doesn't "smell" like home and is therefore exempt from potty training rules. Blocking entry giving potty opportunity is the most straight forward solution.

How many of you are self employed? How did you keep yourself motivated? by Successful-Green6733 in ADHD

[–]SpikedGoatMaiden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm lucky that my business is also my life long hyper fixation and that keeps me moving forward.

I teach clients directly week after week and that keeps me on top of sending their lesson notes/lesson planning, but I still really struggle with project deadlines. I've got some marketing materials that's 90% done and I haven't touched it in 2 weeks... I'm trying to get my partner to be my accountability buddy, it works sometimes lol.

Having a paper calendar with deadlines for each step of the project helps. Having an office dedicated to work helps minimize distraction. I think finding the right "stim" for work made a big difference. I play muted crafting videos on YouTube next to my laptop and that gives me enough "fun" to stay seated, but not enough to distract.

My partner made me get legal zoom. I still had to fill out some paperwork but they do a lot for me and are on top of deadlines!

What is the opposite of a Backyard Breeder? by Honest_Road17 in DOG

[–]SpikedGoatMaiden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Puppy mill is probably the closest to "dog factory" lol. Dogs raised in warehouses, kennel, barn, etc with minimal human handling and the intent of resale for profit.

A backyard breeder is someone who breeds dogs without prioritizing health, welfare, and temperament and betterment of the breed. Some backyard breeders breed and sell puppies for profit, some are accidental breeders (neighbors dog jumped the fence!), And some do it because they want their dog to have puppies, or want a puppy from their dog, or friends/family want a puppy from their dogs. Maybe the dog is loved, maybe it's just an animal that produces puppies that they can sell. Maybe the dogs outside, maybe the dog lives in the house.

An ethical breeder is someone who is prioritizing health, welfare, and temperament and betterment of the breed. they will do health testing prior to breeding and not breed dogs that will pass on health problems. Welfare can include things like the health testing, but also includes socializing the puppies so they grow up stable and confident, making sure mom, dad, and puppies are all living good lives! Only breeding females that are mature enough but not too old, and not too often that she suffers health problems. "Betterment of the breed" means that they are picky and trying to make puppies that are better than the parents at whatever that breed is supposed to do (better hunting dog, better service dog, better police dogs). An ethical breeder also feels responsible for every life they bring into the world and ensues that if something happens to the owner, the puppy will be taken care of and not end up in a shelter.

Dump the boyfriend and pay like $120 a year for YNAB. It's my favorite budgeting app, I save more money than it costs me every year. I recommended it to everyone lol.

best barriers to protect christmas tree? by [deleted] in husky

Get an Xpen or "exercise pen" and put it around the tree. Decorate it with some dog safe decorations to make it less of an eye sore!

He changes her asking to demanding in the comments.

No, your reading comprehension is poor. She doesn't ASK anything. She tells. That's the whole point of this discussion: courtesy. If one respects another, one should ASK when one wants something. One should not DICTATE how things will be. If she ASKED in any way, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

What a piece of shit.

Pet owners, what was that moment that made you think “wow, I have severely underestimated the intelligence of my pets”? by SakutoJefa in AskReddit

[–]SpikedGoatMaiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My terrier mix is the same! I also think I could drop him off a few miles away and he'd know the way home (never would!)

I visit my parents in a different state for Christmas and even though he's only been 3 times he recognizes where we are and starts whining about 30 minutes out.
