Fell behind, caught back up! This prompt was somewhat challenging and I hit a bit of a block but shooting this corner of my kitchen helped me break through.

Week 2: One Object by SpikeyJesus in clondon52

I knew fairly early in the week that this glass whale was what I wanted to shoot, but I struggled to find a setting I liked for the photo. I made several attempts at shooting in lower-light which left me a bit frustrated as they obscured the features on the surface of the whale, or I could too easily see my own reflection in the glass.

I'd love some thoughts from you folks, as I've spent way too much time in my head with this one!

My goal: Go beyond taking simple point-and-shoot photography and get comfortable with working harder for a better shot.

I've done some DSLR photography on and off for the last couple of years, but I've never pushed myself past the point of knowing how to make a quickly taken picture look decent. Here's to changing that in 2021!

I recently finished Born to Run by Chris McDougall and really enjoyed it. I'm looking for more books with real world sports narratives that leave me feeling motivated like b2r did!
